the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Open Thread: M Basketball vs Iowa at home
They're totally different players.
I was just saying you can have a career by only dunking. Something you said couldn't be done.
Also, he's way more skilled than you give him credit for. He's just not big enough to be a 4 and not quick enough to be a 3...yet.
He can certainly play (WELL) at the NBA level.
“True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat. Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat. One is noise — the other, loyalty.”
He can shoot, too.
Michigan Resurgent? Michigan Resurgent!
The beatings will continue until the uniforms improve!
He also had a double double...he's rebounding the basketball and getting putbacks.
He's definitely skilled offensively.
The reason he shouldn't go pro is because he's a 3/4 tweener in the NBA right now. He's got to refine a position.

But he isn't the focus of any D we face. I am not slamming him, infact, I think he is an NBA type player...but how often does he show a back to the basket game. He gets points on putbacks, backdoor cuts, dunks, and the perimeter J. Great player, but I think he needs to add something to his post game....
Not in this offense.
Do you realize we had Zack Novak played PF for us last year? Was he a back to the basket player?
And again, in the NBA...he's probably a Small Forward. He doesn't need to be Kareem.

Zack Novak can't carve out a long term career in the NBA, although he has the heart to. I agree, he is predominantly a SF in the NBA, but that is a deep position in the NBA. It is my opinion, which you clearly disagree with, that like Burke, one more year would make all the difference for GRIII, not only for draft position, but longevity in the league...not saying he sucks, not saying he isn't talented....
I agree that he needs another year...but not because he just dunks and isn't very skilled on the offensive end.

Do you realize that Kentucky had like 6 guys drafted last year?
They all couldn't have been the focus.
UNC has freshman who don't even start get drafted and play in the NBA (ie Marvin Williams)

The exact sentiment I was thinking about GRIII is that he needs 'refinement' But the OP has a point; when you've got the best back-court duo in Burke and Hardaway, it leaves a lot open for the rest of the team. He sure has the ability, but I think some of his production would go down without the other two. I don't think we've really seen his ability to 'create' like Burke, especially, and Hardaway has.
Nebraska to get torched next on Wednesday.

The highlight video at the end of this season is going to be LEGEN...

DARY
Here's hoping for a bright future. This team does try hard and I will continue to support them.
...that I'm going to watch this game again?

I NEVER re-watch games..but this is one that I'd definitely consider giving another view.
then Michigan went on a 61-26 run to go up 90-55 with 4 mins left. :)
Score 100 yet?
I don't care who wins, as long as it's Michigan.....
So is it GRIII turn for freshman of the week

Good at basketball.
"Is there enough magic out there in the moonlight to make this dream come true?"
Really hard not to drink ALL of the Kool-Aid regarding this team but my goodness! Lack of tests against really good teams is only thing I'm waiting on. This is exciting! Go Blue

Long trip back to Iowa City for the Hawkeyes. Fran was not happy with their effort to start the 2nd half. You aren't beating Michigan in their house if you dog it. Go Blue!
HELLO HEISMAN!
To the guy who gave me crap about saying this team would consistently drop 80 points on our opponents: suck it.

my bad....but he is 3 inches taller than Robinson with more ups...
Robinson is good, and probably a first round pic this year, but if I am an NBA exec, I want someone who consistently show more in the paint for me to draft him...
