Open Practice Observations
Not a whole lot so far, just going through drills.
I can confirm that Dwumfour is practicing with the D line. He hasn't done every drill, but he has done most of them. Appears to be moving very well.
Figure I would create this and anyone else that is here can add their observations also.
Go Blue!!
Might as well throw this out here. Paea has moved to the DL.
3-tech?
Spent some time in Columbus the last couple days, GM was kind enough to speak to me for a few minutes, we have mutual friends and I know his family well.
Couple interesting things: They call Viper the bullet. GM was raving about Brendan White and slipped up and compared him as a taller Jabrill but needed to hit and roam more like JP. Brendan's father William was a Detroit Lion for many years and has been diagnosed with ALS, I spoke to him for a while as well, and he was not too fond of Schiano. Went on to say no one around Cbus is a fan, and that it took the starting safety to get injured for Brendan to become the starter, and now he's argubly their best player on defense. Said GS played favorites, and did not see eye to eye with UM or the coaching staff.
GM said Chase Young is the best defensive lineman he has seen in 10 years..... His family is slowly getting use to Cbus but they all still live in Michigan.
Misses Falk and a bunch of the staffers, would not speak at all about DB, to the point I think he's either jealous or pissed off at him.
The starter is not for sure Fields, and whoever #5 is he appears to be the next Tyreek Hill
Cheers
Nice info. GM is still a baby back bitch.
#5 is Garrett Wilson, true FR. WR is a position of extreme strength now, so if he has a chance at cracking that depth chart, he must be something.
Lol. Schiano is so bad that he turned around Rutgers, had an NFL job, and was offered the DC job with Belichek.
Yet Mattison knows more. The same guy who Jarbaugh demoted and didn’t offer a raise to. Yup, he knows more!
Brendan is a great kid! I taught him (or tried to) chemistry his junior year at Olentangy Liberty. Tall and rangy, but does sometimes shy away from contact. Loved having him in class as he was always humble and kinda funny.
What about James Hudson?
Oh wait, crap...
Good! Need the depth and he hadnt been listed on any of the OL depth charts so far.
Seth said on Thursday Paea must have moved to DL. Gotta give him credit for that one.
Gotta be tough. He’s changed sides every year he’s been at UM.
I blame Mattison, an expert on changing sides.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Great . He was recruited as a two-way lineman. Good news.
Yes, paea is practicing with the D line. He and mazi Smith are both#58. Kind of confusing.
I didn't think he was anything but a DL.
Umbig11 with the "breaking" news
Is this a game or just a practice?
Title don't lie
Well the spring game is considered a practice as one of the 15 allowed practices so are they scrimmaging or is it like a brady hoke punt fest.
Please pay attention: THIS IS NOT THE SPRING GAME. IT IS AN OPEN PRACTICE.
Thanks.
But is it open?
And are these actual observations or are they just snowflakes?
Still, one of the best press conferences ever.
A game
It’s the first game of the 2019 season...we’re 3-0 so far!
Bench is with the D Line currently. He fits right in. Luigi is as big and strong as Kwity but looks faster.
And Kwity is pretty fast.
Yes, Luigi has those Denard dreds going for him though.
Paye looks bigger. But yeah, Vilain looks rocked up as well.
It's Luiji with a J is it not?
Does that mean Luiji is practicing/participating in practice? That would be a big development on his front.
Kid is stupid-talented and would be a huge addition to the depth chart this year, but if he’s a no-go again this season, that may very well be the end of his career here.
Yeah he’s been practicing all spring. Currently he’s behind Paye at DE. So should be in the rotation if not a heavy dose.
That’s awesome to hear. I remember being so excited when he committed. An elite pure pass rusher that I thought could be a cornerstone of the next great Michigan defenseman
Injuries have plagued him ever since he got here, but hopefully that’s finally behind him.
How long does this go? Anyone have a guess?
Really cool QB drill with Shea and Milton
Until someone jams a finger.

It’s called football not tamponball
Hopefully they're saving that behind-the-back pass play for the OSU game.
Uche has been doing drills with both D line and LB/vipers.
Love me some Uche!
Go Blue!
You from Saginaw or a member of the Credit Union?
Born in Ann Arbor and raised in Saginaw.
Sanristril looks like the real deal doing punt return drills. Very fluid and shifty.
Crap, are we gonna start using those horrible giant poster meme cards on offense to signal plays? I hate those stupid things
Well I enjoy them, thus both of our opinions on the matter cancel out.
i feel neutral about them, maintaining the status quo.
i feel strongly both ways.
