Open Practice Observations

Not a whole lot so far, just going through drills.

I can confirm that Dwumfour is practicing with the D line. He hasn't done every drill, but he has done most of them. Appears to be moving very well.

Figure I would create this and anyone else that is here can add their observations also.

Spent some time in Columbus the last couple days, GM was kind enough to speak to me for a few minutes, we have mutual friends and I know his family well.

Couple interesting things: They call Viper the bullet.  GM was raving about Brendan White and slipped up and compared him as a taller Jabrill but needed to hit and roam more like JP.  Brendan's father William was a Detroit Lion for many years and has been diagnosed with ALS, I spoke to him for a while as well, and he was not too fond of Schiano.  Went on to say no one around Cbus is a fan, and that it took the starting safety to get injured for Brendan to become the starter, and now he's argubly their best player on defense.  Said GS played favorites, and did not see eye to eye with UM or the coaching staff.

GM said Chase Young is the best defensive lineman he has seen in 10 years.....  His family is slowly getting use to Cbus but they all still live in Michigan.

Misses Falk and a bunch of the staffers, would not speak at all about DB, to the point I think he's either jealous or pissed off at him.

The starter is not for sure Fields, and whoever #5 is he appears to be the next Tyreek Hill

Cheers

Does that mean Luiji is practicing/participating in practice? That would be a big development on his front.

Kid is stupid-talented and would be a huge addition to the depth chart this year, but if he’s a no-go again this season, that may very well be the end of his career here.
