Ok I'm done

I have been an RR supporter from the beginning and a strident critic of the old guard mentality. But we are officially a garbage team with a garbage coach. Our ceiling is now 7-8 wins and RR has had enough time to create better. He clearly can't do better. It's time to move on I know I will be negged to hell fr this but I don't care. This is an embarrassment and the RR era needs to end now.

I have been reading this blog forever, since the beginning, and rarely ever post. However, I have reached my boiling point with Rich Rod as well. The team is so undisciplined and makes so many mistakes that it's nauseating. I have watched as all my friends have become MSU fans (ugh) and have tried to convince them all that RR is a good coach and just needs time. I honestly believe that is wrong now. The guy can only coach offense and it's pitiful to watch Michigan's defense AND special teams. They can't kick a damn KO let alone a FG. You cannot win giving up the amount points we do. In regards to the amount of talent  on ST and Def., quit telling me he didn't inherit any. Even if RR inherited the talent level of Brandon High School he has had 2.5 years to rectify that. I will continue to support the team and I won't bash any players or boo ( shame on you guys) but I now serisouly doubt the direction of the program. I hope I'm wrong.

Go easy on them, think how much money the Big Ten schools make as they shift allegiances and have to buy new gear every few months.  And in this Michigan economy?  Forget the Big Ten options; I hope they become Western Michigan fans next week.

Here's to mercurial, erratic fans!

I get.  You're pissed.  You think, even with our roster, we should win every game we play.  I get it.  I'm sure you picked us going 10-2 before the season (why else would you be so pissed at this loss?).  That doesn't mean RR SUXORS at coaching, it means you're unrealistic.

I also know that if you don't cool off someone not called mgoblog.com, you're going to get banned, or negged like mad.

We just played probably the second best team we'll play this year.  We lost by 10 after beating them in most statistical categories.  Be upset, but don't be like this.

No not at all...I thought we should be 8-4 but after the last 2 weeks I really question RR. I thought the defense was the problem but its more than that and yes I'm pissed about the game but damn! This offense is as bad as the defense.

as far as what I said about Geaux_Blue...he is Napoleon .

It happens. Michigan will lose to good, ranked teams.

Michigan might not even beat another good team, but I think they might take care of business against the cellar dwellers to barely get into a bowl.

When they lose to Illinois 3 years in a row, get the pitchforks out.

that's a spread dominated coach that has a proven winning record with second full year recruits that are sophomores and the rest are predominantly freshman.  Let me know a couple names and I will let you know my choice, thanks.

We lose to a pretty damn good MSU team and a really good Iowa team so now you are shutting it down. Alright.......fine, but when RichRod does succeed please don't be in support.

If you don't own season tickets and are all upset -- go find another team to call your own.

If you do own season tickets and are fed up -- I double dog dare you to let them go and not renew them next season.

Do it.

I dare you.

Triple Dip, Double Dog Dare you now. You're pissed, but too skeered to let go of your tickets -- because you know that Michigan will be back on top in short order, and once you get out, you can kiss your seats goodbye.

There ought to be a denotation in the ticket database that anyone who drops their tickets now, never has another opportunity to get on board again. That won't happen, but .....

I support this team and our Michigan coaches. I wear the colors - win or lose - because there will never be another team in my heart to root for and cheer on.

Go friggin Blue!

Wait, am I in someone's emo livejournal?  You're feeling crappy because of the game, as are many--but it's not the time to make sweeping proclamations about your support or fandom, IMO.

Let's talk about this tomorrow when we're sober.

How, exactly, has he had time to create better? Dude's had exactly 2 full recruiting classes.  You say he can't do better, then how the hell do you explain the West Virginia years?

Thanks for sharing.  I'm sure there are other message boards for other teams that you could post your new allegiance to.  Save me this "I used to believe in RR, but now..." crap - you hate losing.  Everyone does.  But every good team goes through stretches like this, and I really do feel like this team is growing.  Despite being down 21 entering the 4th quarter, the team responded by really putting a scare into a top-15 team and, with some maturity on the defensive side and a bit of luck, maybe pulls out a win.  Yeah, if this team loses the next 3 games it will definitely be time to look for a new coach, but UM has lost to two teams with a combined 1 loss between them, and that one loss was on the road against a top-10 team.  It happens.

to chill out bro! Michigan is a good offensive football team. The defense is absolutely awful. It happens we are flat out not as good as iowa! We need to stay the course and have faith. When the defense gets better we will see results. If you seriously down with michigan then fine, we dont need you!

Is our defense terrible?  We held a very good Iowa team to 383 yards of total offense, even though our offense kept giving them the ball with room to work with.  We held them to 3.8 yards per rush, even though they have a very good rushing offense.  We gave up 248 yards through the air.  Pretty average.

They had a lot of points because we kept turning the ball over, or letting them return our FG's.  Our defense did not play a bad game today.

Kenny Demens!  Better than Ezeh!

I don't know how you can say Michigan's defense did not play poorly.  They allowed Iowa to score TDs on 3 of their 5 (meaningful) first half possessions.  In the second half, Iowa scored 2 TDs and 1 FG on their six possessions.  Allowing scoring drives over 50% of the time is not a sign of a good defense.

While 3.8 yards/rush is good enough for slightly above average, the 10.3 yards/passing attempt is off the charts bad.

but I seriously can't stand most of the people I have to cheer with. When the goings get tough, jump off the wagon. Freaking babies. 1969-2007 spoiled people into irrational hopes.

'69 through 2007. Yes, we had good regular seasons. Yes, in the early part of the Bo era we were helped by the scholarship rules. On the negative side, during those years we won only one NC, and lost more bowl games than we won. Ok, our goal was the Big 10 Championship, and we did a fine job of that.

We are entering a new era. It is not pain-free. Get over it folks. I am so tired of hearing these so-called fans I just don't have words.
