2 years 29 weeks ago	agreed	DB needs to makes RR defense assistants accountable and force RR to make changes to his defensive staff! Help RR bring in a DC and help that DC hire his own assistants. This forcing assistants on Shafer/GERG clearly isnt working too well Go Blue Beat OSU!
2 years 29 weeks ago	This kid	went to the same high school as me. I actually ran into him one time through mutual friend and asked him if RR offered he said no. Funny thing he told me Sparty coaches where douches and he would never go play for them.,,i thought i should share that lol! Hail

2 years 29 weeks ago	Agreed	my one thought is that RR appears to be a very loyal head coaches when it comes to his assistants. I too believe we need to hold the D coaches accountable for the defense being so bad year after year. We need to clean house and let a new DC hire his own staff and give him total control over the d. Chip Kelly does this he doesnt even pay attention to his d just leaves it up to his defensive coaches and i think Rich needs to do something similar to that. I think we all defense is only link holding this team back from contending for titles! Hail
2 years 29 weeks ago	Good Point	you make a good point and i see my statement isn't a true statement of the problem on defense. What do you think in contributing to the likes of seasoned vets of Mouton and Ezeh struggling so much this season?
2 years 29 weeks ago	I think	the linebacker play this season is pretty bad as well! I do think it has a lot to do with the D line being a little undersized, especially when Martin isnt in the game. Lets hope Gerg dials up alot pressure this weekend or pryor will simply sit back there a pick our young secondary apart! Go Blue!! Beat the Buckeyes! Hail

I also hope that this coaching staff can form a identity of what they want to do defensively, no more of this multiple 3-3-5/ sometimes 3-4 stuff. All good defensive teams have a scheme they run and stick to it. I hope RR lets Gerg run the 3-4 he originally wanted to run! Hail Beat tOSU

2 years 30 weeks ago	agreed	this game went exactly how i expected it would go. I understand the youth and inexperience is a big problem for this defense. The main this that frustrates me is this defense doesn't have a identity! we need to run a scheme and stick to it no more of this multiple 3-3-5/ sometimes 3-4 crap. If RR wants to have success defensively i think he needs to give Gerg full control of defensive scheme and personnel! I think that are big problem we just dont have a identity on D! Hail, Beat OSU!
2 years 30 weeks ago	Greg and co	need to be shown the door after this season is over! I dont think its all on Greg since RR forced certain things he wanted done on defense ie, 3-3-5. I think he did his best considering he couldnt hire his own defensive staff and had to make due with these wvu boys. but we need to get a great defensive mind back to AA that can choose a scheme and form an identity on defense. We also need to get rid of all defensive assistants and let new DC bring in own guys. Defense is only thing holding this team back from contending for big ten titles!  Go Blue!

2 years 30 weeks ago	Scheme is overated	i just want to find a new dc that runs the 3-5-3 or 3-3-5 i think its actually called 3-5-3 but i digress. I think the new dc should run the 3-5-3 because thats what the coaches know how to run if not they all D assistants need to be let go and the new dc should have FULL and TOTAL control of assistants hires and scheme. If not all defense coaches need to be fired and we need to get a new stud DC in and give him total control of defense and hiring of assistants! this forcing RR's wvu boys on a DC clearly doesnt work! 2 years 32 weeks ago	agreed	I dont think GERG is the sole problem. Its a lot of things rolled into one. We need to fire all the defensive coaches and bring in a Defensive coach that can recruit big time talent and develop are youngsters on D into a good defense. Something along the lines of what are opponent today did this year.. I wouldnt mind bring in someone along the lines of Bumpas or even Casteel both good quality DC in the country! Hail

2 years 32 weeks ago	I dont	if you give up 65 points in a ball game you can say they looked good. I saw improvements in tackling and third down defense as well as mixing up looks for Illinois. But we need to go in a different direction and get back to making this defense dominant in the Big 10 again. This team will not go where we want it to go unless this defense improves drastically! That being said i am extremely proud of the boys today! Hail
