Ohio State has not beaten Michigan in football in 1000 days

What an absolutely pathetic program Ohio State is.

For this ho hum "milestone" I guess, take a big steamy poo on OSU personalities in this thread. I'll start with the "Michigan Clock" Twitter account. That clown has to deactivate his account if they lose this year, right?

I've hated Ohio State for over 60 years. And am happy about 42-27 last November. That said let's get real. We have had, what, two wins over them in that last 20 years? I think all this 1,000 days nonsense is nothing but pointless chest thumping as though something meaningful has actually been accomplished. Given the last 20 years we need to shut up, put our heads down and, you know, maybe win two in a row??

I hear you Robbie, but we are fans.  No matter how hard we put our heads down and be humble about winning it has zero effect on the games or the teams.  Of course OSU has owned the series for the past 20 years.  That is what makes beating them all the better!

Embrace the success!  Talk the smack!  They are loaded again and will most likely be favored to win this year.  Make no excuse for being reigning Big Ten Champs and talk it as long as you can talk it.  The team earned it, the fans get to enjoy it!

I'm in your camp, Robbie (it might be our age).  I'm much more excited about 42-27 (which is real) than 1000 days which is somewhat artificial considering we all know what would have happened in 2020 if the game had been played.  I'm looking forward to 2022 and hoping that Michigan can win two in a row over the Buckeyes!

And Michigan's beaten them once in 4,000 days.

I remember after MSU won a game in the 90s, I heard some MSU fans saying 'well we're 1-1 over the last 2 matchups, it's a toss up game.' You sound kind of like them.

Who cares? We're on a Michigan site for Michigan fans and I really don't see any harm in enjoying this with each other. Either way, if it bugs you that much put some effort into it: "You kind of sound like [MSU fans who annoyed me 30 years ago]" sounds more like a personal grievance than an insult.

In all seriousness, there is something to this.

From 1968-2008, MSU never beat U-M in back-to-back games.  MSU did win individual games, of course, but U-M fans weren't wrong for saying "well, that was just a one-off, they've never validated their win by winning 2 in a row against us.  We're still in charge here, we're still much better than them."

If U-M (or PSU against OSU: who has not won back-to-back games themselves against OSU since joining the B1G!) wants to truly change the narrative: VALIDATE the 2021 win by doing it again.  Otherwise, it's not completely wrong for OSU fans to consider it a one-off.

Im saving this - if we beat them in 3 months... my god, the meltdown in columbus will be glorious. i dont even care about the rest. Just beat them, and the narrative has changed. it wont be easy.. but they got the taste last year.. now make it a full course meal!

Maybe it’s because I’ve been a UM fan since the 70s and we didn’t lose to OSU the 4 years I attended UM, but I find the constant gloating over last year’s win to be cringe at this point. And counting the game we cancelled in the 1000 days is weak too. Kick their ass in Columbus this year.
