Ohio State craps pants again, loses to Louisiana Tech

Good job, good effort.

We played the best team in the state of OH.

Xavier is ranked, was in the Sweet Sixteen last year and likely will be there again.

Walton had a rough night. Give him a break, it was his 4th game in 9 months. Zak Irvin is being eased back after his back surgery as is Spike with his two hip surgeries.

They can give us all the shit they want for our early December performance last year, but we still kicked their ass the last time we played OSU.

And that ass kicking was handed out while we were playing walk ons in significant minutes (Dakich nailed a 3 on them), which makes it even sweeter that we shut down their lottery pick Russell.

We've beaten them 3 of the last 4, and they have not won a game in the state of MI since they beat MSU......in March of 2012.

It was how we lost.  It wasn't a hard fought close loss like we had against Villanova last year.  The Xavier game was much different - we were pretty much pathetic in every phase of the game.  It was a little alarming, considering how much hype we have (whether deserved or not).  I'm certainly not jumping off the bandwagon, but I'm also certainly not going to gloat another team's pathetic lose (even OSU's).  It seems as though we may be in from some embarrassing loses this season as well.

Man, I knew OSU would take a step back this year, but this is pretty terrible.  And they've got Memphis and UVa coming up, so this could snowball really quickly for them.

Here's the thing, I'm pretty sure Derrick Walton was hurt at that point. He was rather ineffective after he hurt his foot. I'm sure after looking back on it Beilein wishes he had shut him down earlier. NJIT shot the lights out against us, whereas OSU has no excuse. LT only shot 40% from three and had (I think) 9 less free throws.

The last 2 seasons, Louisiana Tech has NOT been terrible.

Ohio State basketball may have their issues, but given recent LT history this may be a top-100ish team that OSU lost to.  E.g., nothing absolutely terrible.

I'm sorry, but I see absolutely no factual basis for saying that Louisiana Tech has "inferior talent."

There are good mid-majors every single year in hoops (you only need a few players in hoops, after all), and there's no reason to say just yet that LT is NOT among them.  LT also beat Texas-Arlington, FWIW.

Well they don't a four-star player on their team.  OSU had five in their last class.  La Tech may be a better team right now, but OSU is vastly more talented.

Seriously...no need to get hard over OSU losing to inferior talent in November. Remember us last year? Exactly.

Given the vast number of upsets already this season, you could make fun of any team. Save it for when we beat them. K thx.
