Exactly - I've been to UTL2 and a whole bunch of 3:30 games.  Can honestly say that I have been equally drunk at both.  With the golf course opening at noon for a 7:30 kick, that is one less hour of drinking/tailgating vs. the 7am open time for a 3:30 kick.

I'm coming up for this game and didn't give much of a rip whether it was 3:30 or a night game. I am jacked to be able to be there and enjoy it.

While you hear a lot of noise about games starting at Noon or 1 pm in the olden days, is that really what today's fan base wants?  I would take a night game or a 3:30 game over noon for sure.

My guess is the students probably love the night game and so do the players.  Although generally, those two groups get little input......

Oh shut up. Thousands of us who have tickets just like you wanted it as a night game; that's no reason for outrage.

If you're so unhappy, sell your tickets for a handsome profit (maybe use it to buy tickets to the Indiana away game, it kicks off at noon) and watch at home.

Stop it. It will be no different than a noon rivalry game. Except it will be more fun for students and have higher national prominence. Nobody from scary East Lansing is going to attack you. This nonsense is not helpful.

I have no concept how people would or would not argue about the timing of a football game.  But like the heated discussions about apparel, apparently there are people here who will go to town over kickoffs and the relative amount of natural light available.

First this attitude makes will make you get into fights. Second, Michigan doesn't have the same tailgate and get piss drunk with open beers next to the stadium like they do at MSU, which reduces the chances of getting into a dumb fight over a football game by like 1000%.

Almost every friend I have who went to ND/UM/ and even fucking OSU has gotten fucked with (myself included) in EL when attending an away game. It's just not the same in AA unless you're trying to find a fight.

Also @ ND right now for grad school and went to the game last Saturday and tailgated UM last year. Sparty fans are super deflated right now and not in peak 2014 psycho mode trying to kill everybody (literally).
