Wow, Minn is much faster than I expected.

Offense looks extremely coherent and organized.

*sigh*

That’s not a coaching. There’s zero way that’s a coaching difference, regardless of however you may feel about our coaches.

A TD came off the board because one of our players couldn’t make a routine catch. Another likely TD came off the board was because of a bogus OPI. Another likely scoring drive came off the board because of an uncalled DPI. That’s around 17 points right there added on to the 21 we had already, and none of it has to do with coaching in terms of cashing in on their opportunities.

You can absolutely say things like being unprepared and taking a timeout on the first play is a result of coaching. But in this case you sound like you’re listing a pretty random issue, and just using coaching as the scapegoat when there’s no apparent correlation.

I’m pretty sure the captain comeback swag you speak of was apparent vs Penn State. To be fair we shouldn’t have had to come back in the first place both due to officiating and due to a few bad plays in the first half.

You just can’t blame Ronnie’s error on Harbaugh. You just can’t.

I do agree that we need to be more daring however.

Minnesota Penn state has been a fun first quarter so far. Flipping between that and Baylor/TCU and OSU/Maryland with the occasional peak at basement dwellers Purdue and NW. Penn state driving again, this one could end up a shoot out.

Minny looks good early.

Also, good for NW going up 14-0 early on Purdue. NW has had a rough year but theyre not terrrrrrrrible. Although Purdue is down to a Sophmore walk-on at QB. Rough year for them too

PSU or Minnesota..who are you rooting for and why?

I know a PSU loss helps M, but let's be honest, Michigan has next to no chance to win the division. So, do you cheer for PSU because you want anyone but OSU to win the division? Or, do you cheer for Minnesota because you just can't bring yourself to root for that rape-enabling institution?

I don't particularly care for PJ Fleck, but I will be rooting for Minnesota. The Gophers' success this year is a good story.

You want Minny to win.  You don't want the PSU program catching fire, which they are very close to doing.  They can recruit.

You want some James Franklin shadow of doubt always hanging over them.

A loss to Minny and then inevitably at OSU takes the wind out of their sails.

The other thing about if Minnesota wins is that it makes it fairly likely that OSU will have the division wrapped up by the time of the Game if they beat PSU. So if you buy into the idea that they won’t play as hard or be more likely to overlook Michigan if there are no division implications, you want Minnesota to win.

I thought I saw that on a TV at the gym, but I couldn’t believe an Ohio State team with a big lead already would waste an onside kick play on a Maryland team they were in the process of annihilating.  Small wonder pretty much everyone hates that school.  Let’s humiliate Maryland!  Why?  Who knows?  Shades of Woody going for 2 in 1969.  Names change, classless approach doesn’t.

OSU is just a juggernaut on a different level than everyone else in the Big Ten this year.

Maryland can literally do nothing. You can’t dominate a team more in one quarter.

I hate saying all that. Just happens to be the game I’m watching.

I’m from Ohio and always follow OSU pretty closely to see if there are chunks in the armor. This year they honestly don’t have any. The talent, focus, play calling and execution is just on another level.

Ive always enjoyed watching them lose almost as much as I enjoy watching Michigan win. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s going to happen this year.
