the strange part was that its not like they settled for Riley. He was their first choice and he was hired i believe a month after Pelini was fired. The guy might get the team improved but he is 62 years old. how long does he plan on coaching and is that enough time to tun the program around i doubt it. IM not sure what the athletic director was thinking?

Umm yes. By far. RR is not and was not a bad coach, he was just a horrible fit for the program and walked into a perfect storm of a bad situation. He never lived up to his potential at Michigan. Riley has never had the success that even RR had. Guy is bad, and Nebraska should feel bad.

GUNNER KIEL: 5 TD, 0 INCOMPLETIONS

The Cincinnati quarterback has yet to throw an incomplete pass and Cincinnati leads 49-0 over UCF in the third quarter. Shaq Washington has caught two of Kiel's TD passes.

I could give you so many reasons. However, I've planned this nap so I'm ready for the Michigan game for a few days...so it's about to be #LightsOut for me.

That said, O'Leary is probably the most overrated coach in history. He had some solid assistants and he stuck gold with Bortles, a local kid...but his recruiting was so amazing lazy (and borderline negligent) that it's not even funny. I believe there was a year when I was there, that Michigan (with Rich Rod) had more Florida kids on the roster than UCF.

He only recruited upstate NY and Georgia from his GT days.

He held the school back year after year after year, it was sad.

UCF should be TCU and there's absolutely no excuse for it not to be. 2nd largest school as you mentioned, ALL new facilities, major media market, recruiting hotbed...there is just no excuse.

UCF is absolutely frustrating if you know the recent history, so much wasted potential. With that huge school, they also have the youngest alumni base in the country...meaning NO history and tradition...meaning NO bluehairs...meaning you can give Nike the keys to your program, say pimp us out and create your own brand and no one is old enough to be offended by it.

They should be that flashy top 15 school, that people ages 15-30 LOVE...the "hip" or "it" school. It should be cool to like/root for UCF. But O'Leary, year after year wanted to make them bland, boring and traditional and it just doesn't work. These kids will go root for Florida if they want traditional.

Hopefully they find a progressive AD and a solid head coach. It really is a special place.

Alright, nap time for an hour. Starting to finally let go of the last game and get excited for this one.

Lull the Huskers into thinking they're coming back with a turnover on downs, and then deliver the knockout with an INT and a TD on the next play.
