People have been lying to themselves all off season about OSU, of course it matters that they aren't struggling. Last year game 1 it was clear there was something wrong with the defense, no such issue this year. We managed to struggle with teams like Akron when we had bad coaches despite having the talent to win those games by 40. All data points matter.

OSU looks great, but FAU looks god awful.  Fields looks good but so would I with unlimited time and wide open receivers.  ...and I played o-line

Unfortunately this commences J Fields Heisman hype. Wtf. Took like 5 minutes. How can sucktitude from spring game turn into bradyhood this fast.

All the reports and discussion coming from EL seem like a post mortem rather than an opening day W.  I’m hoping my Broncos can go up and do some damage next week.

This is the same excuse so many keep giving as to why we lose. We aren't going to recruit better then them consistently. OSU drops a couple games a year to teams that have inferior talent. Its fucking possible to beat them with less talent. Our offense has been the primary issue, not talent. Yeah, yeah the defense got smoked last year but no team in college has a perfect defensive game all season including Alabama and Clemson. The difference is elite college teams have an offense that steps up in the big games when it needs to.

So let’s see....28-0 just over halfway through first quarter. I think they just might score 100 by accident. Even if they only play starters in the first quarter, the backups could easily put up 21 per quarter. So, on the current trend you’re looking at 49-0 after first quarter. Even if it’s only 35 in the first quarter, I don’t see a scenario where they get held under 80

These types of games where one team leads by four TD's after the first quarter, are dumb. These non-league games should be opportunities to play, at the very least, decent teams from other conferences. Potential of injuries just not worth it.

OSU is going to have 70 by halftime.

I'm watching Brandon Peters and Illinois against the not-so-mighty-Zips of Akron.  Not sure what to make of Lovie Smith's beard...
