No Matter the Sport
Michigan ALWAYS falls short in the critical game that would put everyone over the top. Be it a championship, a big football game, or this game to take over the number one spot in basketball, we consistently lose the biggest games in the biggest spotlights. Ugh.

Shut the fuck up Fredo.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
That’s a true statement
December 3rd, 2019 at 10:41 PM ^
It's a true statement for most schools but not actually true for Michigan.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:11 PM ^
We were competing against the best school. That is good. Man, get a grip
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:11 PM ^
The only time being #1 matters is when the season is over.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:13 PM ^
Dude...we’ve beaten 3 tournament teams and it’s only December 4th. 2 teams who are final 4 caliber. We are playing our 3rd ranked team in 6 days, and this is vs #1 team on the road.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:31 PM ^
It’s only December 3rd
and probably 4 tourney teams...creighton, Iowa state, unc, Gonzaga.
December 3rd, 2019 at 10:13 PM ^
I wasn't overly impressed with L'ville, but they'll probably make the Tunamelt. So five teams.
December 3rd, 2019 at 11:11 PM ^
It's the 4th in the Bahamas
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:13 PM ^
You suck at sucking, so suck it!
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:15 PM ^
Battle 4 Atlantis is a pretty big stage against a field of elite competition. This game is only four days removed from a great stretch of basketball against top 10 teams. This team still has a lot of room to grow. And sometimes the three just doesn't drop.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:35 PM ^
Wrong - all the other teams we beat have a loss. It is only a big game if we lose.
December 3rd, 2019 at 10:17 PM ^
Michigan troll logic.
If Michigan wins then they should have won because the other team is not very good. [Note: This applies in *all* circumstances including rival games, if applicable, and/or vs. all ranked teams].
If Michigan loses then you can pick among the following: a) the team just isn't very good; b) they were not prepared; c) a personal favourite for the trolls: "the other team wanted it more"; d) the other team somehow "cares more about the rivalry".
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:15 PM ^
Hey guy. Cool ass post. You’re cool. Thanks for sharing.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:18 PM ^
Fuck you idiots posting this complaining shit.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:18 PM ^
Forgot to mention: it's usually a loss in spectacular fashion!!! A true blue skulling!!! lul

December 3rd, 2019 at 9:19 PM ^
Kind of feels that way. If we're being honest about it.
When UM beat Washington State in the 1998 Rose Bowl, I remember it being a feeling that I've never felt before in my lifetime. Perhaps never since.
Brooks, Johns and Wagner were, uhh... really not good tonight. But especially Johns (and why so much PT?). Simpson hurt us a lot more than he helped too. All around off night for everyone.
At least it didn't feel like the refs were jobbing us.
(EDIT: for those who don't think this game meant much, I don't disagree with you as it relates to the entirety of this particular season. But how many times has either our football or basketball teams been ranked #1 in the regular season in the last 25 years? You don't get too many cracks at that chance. It'd be nice to win one of those games).
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:19 PM ^
Take your meds and calm TF down. There’s nothing critical about this basketball game. Louisville is the #1 team for a reason and we’re on their court. They’re suppose to win. Shots aren’t falling. that happens in basketball...
December 4th, 2019 at 6:51 PM ^
On my way home, I stopped for a critical gas fill up. Then I went to the store and made a critical purchase of peanut butter and jelly. Then I wrote this critical post.
On the way home I waved "Hello" to Fred Jackson.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:22 PM ^
R-E-L-A-X
M Lost 3 top tier guys and are playing against our 3rd elite team in the last week, and competing!
Shooting sub 25% is not a typical evening.
This team has room for improvement, and will do just that.
It is going to be OK
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:26 PM ^
Michigan just won a championship in the Bahamas, in case you didn’t notice. After back-to-back wins over top-10 teams in back-to-back days.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:27 PM ^
Fuck y’all. This board is a god damn mess.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:30 PM ^
Shooting 15/55 from the field against the #1 team on the road and only losing by 10-12 points is encouraging to me.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:31 PM ^
Get a grip man. You sound like you eat nervous birds
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:31 PM ^
Bunch of morose mother fuckers starting threads around here. Going to have to require psych evaluations before people can OP. I mean, I know I am always lobbying for Harbaugh's head on a pike and bagmen, but those are positive changes!
Basketball team can't win a big game to put the school over the top? What the fuck did we all watch over thanksgiving?
What did we all watch last spring out in UCLA and in Omaha?
Bloody hell.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:31 PM ^
A bag that a douche goes in. That is you.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:32 PM ^
How do you people make it through the day? Seriously?
If you are trolling, I don’t really understand that either?
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:32 PM ^
Good God, what a bunch of battered Whiney ass pussies!! We beat 2 out of 3 top 10 teams in a 1 week span!! We hung with the number 1 team on their floor in prime time!
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:33 PM ^
Delete this stupid shit fam.
The hoops team is kicking ass this year and playing fun ball!
It was always improbable we were going to beat 3 top 10 teams in a row, especially playing the #1 team, in their house, a few days after flying back from a foreign country.
This is just a dumb fuck take.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:35 PM ^
Wow never expected to see multiple threads already complaining. I never thought this team would be so good out of the gate.. not really very concerned about tonight. The boys will be ready come March. Great experience for them both winning big and losing to a #1 within a week.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:35 PM ^
I'd welcome a rematch against this same L'ville team in late March (or preferably early April). They were more rested and probably will look like the same team in a few months. OTOH, our team will look much better and different come tournament time. Wagner will be up to speed and both the coach and players will be more comfortable in the offense.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:35 PM ^
And we wonder why people hate our fan base. We have some of the biggest crybaby, “woe is me“ fans I’ve ever seen. Just take a deep breath next time you think of posting a thread.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:35 PM ^
Tough mountain to climb.
Played Third ranked opponent in a week...traveled out of the country and back...on the road again against the #1 team....
they will be fine...off night...go blue!
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
It is time for your life to put out to pasture, granddad.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
It’s not really tolerable when you’re the third troll in a row to create a thread, dumbass.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:40 PM ^
Can we please elect some mods!!!!
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:40 PM ^
Really...first lost to a good team and we doing post like this???
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:41 PM ^
I'm happy with the guys today. Neutral court neutral refs they would have it. Esp NCAA tourn.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:42 PM ^
Baseball in the spring
Basketball in 2013 and 2018
Football for the last 20 years against OSU...
you’re not totally wrong. We still have lots of opportunities in basketball this year to change that narrative though.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:42 PM ^
Imagine being such a baby.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
Calm down Sally. It’s their 4th game in 7 days. It’s very early in the season. It’s their 1st loss to a good team (who happens to be #1 at moment) on the road. It’s not like they lost to SFA at home or anything.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:45 PM ^
This 3 December BB game would have put everyone over the top of what, exactly?
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:47 PM ^
It's December 3. We've played eight games. Get a grip.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:48 PM ^
Did some of you guys just start watching college basketball?
25% field goal percentage.
15% from 3.
It happens to every team. It happened tonight.
Not gonna win with those numbers, on the road, against a good team, EVER.
It's gonna be a great season, ups and downs, just be humming come tourney time.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:49 PM ^
Omfg shut the fuck up and get off this board.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:49 PM ^
Teams didn’t have any film on how Michigan would look under Howard. They were able to surprise some teams early on. Teams have film and will have a game plan to stop Michigan. Key is now to see if the coaching staff can adjust. Also I still think there just isn’t enough shooters. X is a great point guard but he is a liability on offense. They had enough shooters in 2018 so it wasn’t an issue but we saw how it came back to haunt Michigan last season against those rapists at MSU.
December 3rd, 2019 at 9:49 PM ^
You are so right!
