He wanted to come to Michigan but for reasons not even the crooting experts can figure out we basically pushed him out of the class.
So he goes to MSU,becomes a part time starter for a team that puts out very good D every year, as a true freshman and is a special teams demon and already their best secondary player as a sophomore.

Oregon is kinda terrible on defense, aren't they? MSU is a good offense, but they aren't doing anything that a competent defense couldn't slow down/stop.

MSU has always been good in basketball over the years...and especially under Izzo.
For football...you're exactly right. And if you look, they got good exactly when we got bad. Dantonio was a great hire, and Lloyd Carr left Rich Rod with jackshit and he did even less with it.
It was too late...
ALSO...don't forget, OSU was down too. They were on probation and MSU was stealing all the local talent.
ALSO...don't forget, right when OSU got Meyer...PSU had a coach that wanted to touch little boys. And THEY got in trouble. So MSU got rich off of that as well.
And now they're just rolling...
Harbaugh has to take out MSU before we set our sights on OSU.

That's bullshit. What did JLS leave Dantonio with? And if we're going to go the ''complete scheme transformation'' argument Dantonio had a Big Ten title in year 3 and completely changed systems. It wasn't just because of Michigan being down.

You could say Saban but he bailed before they got consistently good. Their 1999 team was really good. Their early 2000s teams had a lot of talent like Duckett and Plaxico Burress etc but Bobby Williams was a turd.

They went to the Final four last year...they never consistently owned the Big Ten. They did from 98-01 then they went until 2009 til they won it again.
