So I was looking at guys in the top 100 that we are technically in on and have a technical shot at. My list looks like: #1 - Seantrel Henderson #4 - Kyle Prater #9 - Sharrif Floyd #10 - Jeff Luc #26 - Khairi Fortt #35 - Latwan Anderson #50 - Tony Jefferson #60 - Cullen Christian #85 - Sean Parker Did I miss anyone? Granted a few of them are potentially long shots, but figured I would just throw it out there.

I'm willing to bet that everyone in the world telling you that you're the greatest thing in the world is not the easiest thing for the psyche of a 17 year old to handle. I'm sure it's fun, but so is heroin- you're right, too strong of a comparison, but I digress. I'd bet it's healthier for RR and Barwis to take a kid - who's already been evaluated to be the type of kid he needs to run his system which has proven itself at the highest level of college football - and instill some real confidence in him that stems from hard work and accomplishment tempered with a bit of scorn for the media that under-valued him... Than to throw in him in the fickle spotlight of the media that will throw him out in the cold the second there's a bigger story. Of course, if I'm a kid I'd want that attention, but looking back, I'm glad I never had to deal with it at 17... give it to me now, well that's a different story ;) Then again, I could be completely wrong.

We have yet to see how RichRod's recruiting classes are going to turn out, but I am already getting a little tired of hearing about "system" recruits. Especially when we're talking about defensive players. And FWIW, Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma all run a variation of the spread and they don't recruit 3* "system" guys.

I, too am tiring of the mantra of "wait til he gets HIS players"--as if Rodriguez runs some sort of super secret offensive package that only he knows how to run and only he knows who will work in it. I do think, or at least hope, that Rich Rodriguez doesn't all into this mindset and would very much like to land 25 5* recruits every season. I don't believe he came to Michigan at all thinking he'd win big with West Virginia type talent.

Most Michigan fans are condescending fucktards who have little idea that the school you graduate from is secondary to your own will to succeed. Fuck, just look at dex. He graduated from Michigan and he's trying to turn tricks on craigslist. FSU is a good school. But by all means, bouje, continue to huff n puff ridiculously about Rolle's decisions that have steered him into a Rhodes scholar and future NFL pick.

Agreed, for the most part. Where you go as an undergrad is pretty much meaningless if you don't intend to go to grad school. Many Michigan grads get out of college and are then shocked to see how competent and intelligent their peers who went to less prestigous universities are. I was somewhat guilty of this and it was very humbling (although I will maintain that the quality of education provided by most SEC schools to most of their graduates does, indeed, suck per the stereotype).

and I also think that he's an amazing athlete and an all around great person from everything that I've heard and I think that the backlash against me thinking that it was a poor decision almost proves that. But just because he's an extremely smart individual doesn't mean that he'll always make the correct choices and I still stand by my point that FSU was not the best choice for him for both academics and athletics.

And yes I do know what a Rhodes Scholarship is. He could have gone anywhere and done this. Right because at Michigan you have to Major in General Studies (*cough* Patrick Omameh *cough cough*) Personal ... Patrick Chuba Omameh was born Dec. 29, 1989 ... enrolled in the School of Engineering. (He's scholarship)

The reason FSU was a better choice for him than Michigan goes beyond the majors he could have chosen. Here is a quick recap of his recruitment to help you understand why: Rolle: I want to major in pre-med, become a doctor, and try to become a Rhodes Scholar. Michigan: That's nice. Here's the academic services we have in place for all student athletes to help them stay eligible. FSU: We'll tailor your academic plan to help you achieve your goals. We also have other students trying for the Rhodes scholarship, we'll have them give you advice to help you along. Rolle: I choose the school where I'm most likely to acheive my goals, which is the place that actually takes them seriously. Just because athletes can and do choose majors besides general studies at Michigan does not mean Michigan was the best place for Rolle to accomplish what he wanted to accomplish.

How do you know whether a General Studies degree would affect your chances at a Rhodey*? Don't believe the media hype - it's not that bad a degree. It's LSA without the foreign language req., which isn't all that difficult anyway. They should probably rename the damn thing, because it sounds lamer than it is. A GS degree is more difficult to attain than kinesiology or communications, IME. *If you know ANYTHING about the Rhodes Scholarship program, you know that the cool kids call them Rhodeys.

Actually, I'm going to run with this one. If you think it wasn't FSU that got him the RS, but that it was Rolle being Rolle, doesn't that imply that he could have accomplished this feat at any school in, say, the top 150 schools in the country? Let's assume, as you said, that Rolle could earn a Rhodes Scholarship at any FBS school. Then maybe Myron Rolle likes the campus better, or the weather, or the girls, or Bobby Bowden. Keep in mind also Bouje, FSU is no powerhouse in 2009, but 4 years ago they were much better than they are now.

bouje, how do you read your name? The only way I can comprehend it is " blow-jay". I'm not sure. Is that french for douche? Maybe russian? All I know is that you are acting quite "fagelicious"...... EDIT: In the time it took me to write this, blow-jay went from -100 points (roughly), to -197. DAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!

"I still stand by my point that FSU was not the best choice for him for both academics and athletics." You, sir, are the gift that keeps on giving. I think you've been pounded to shit on your incredulous academic argument("Hey fucktard, you might be a Rhodes Scholar but you still made the wrong choice! I'm going to continue to ignore the point that Michigan cared just a little less than FSU did when it came to tailoring an academic plan for Mr. Rolle and use +1000 mana to boost my douchebaggery!), but as for the athletics - dude, it's been pretty much a wash with both programs underachieving(However, I think it's fair to say Michigan underachieved a little bit more). FSU has won 2 bowl games to our 1 since Rolle arrived. And the FSU defense has been a lot better than Michigan's over that same span - Rolle spearheaded one heckuva defense for the past 3 seasons, and FSU is one of the best feeder schools for star defensive players recently. So, like...whatever.

Scene 1: Bouje at the bar. Beautiful young lady: Hi Bouje. (This is definitely 100% made up) Bouje: Uh, hi. Can I buy you a drink? BYL: Oh, sure. I've had such a long day, I just finished up my photo shoot after teaching kindergarten. Those kids are just as rowdy as I am (wink). Bouje: (Thinks hard about what she means by rowdy. There was no engineering class about this.) I had my share of rowdy classes at Michigan. BYL: Oh Ann Arbor? I almost went there for education, but decided to attend South Carolina to be closer to home and pursue my modeling career as well. Bouje: [Dumbstruck] South...Carolina? BYL: (Touches Bouje's leg) I love the [Game]Cocks. Bouje: Why would you choose South Carolina? Michigan is much better for education. What a bad choice. BYL: (Confused) What? Bouje: It just seems like you could have done better. BYL: I think you're right. Bye. (Walks away and 5 guys try to buy her a drink and talk to her) Scene 2: Bouje back at his place. Bouje roommate: Dude, you said tonight was the night that you were going to bring back a girl. What happened? Bouje: Nothing worth bringing home. There was this one chick, she was a 6 at best, digging me pretty hard though. She said she models and teaches kindergarten. Then she told me she went to school at South Carolina because it was a good fit. I said, not good enough. Bouje roommate: Are you retarded? Bouje: (Shrugs, searches for Erin Andrews videos after putting on his underoos) Scene, fade to black.

Great made up story. Too bad it's completely false and also there's a huge hole in your story how could the girl be a 6 and a model? What is she a plus size model?
