New Michigan Wolverines masks

Even more masks have been added.

Foco sets of 3- $25

2-pack reusable tech gloves (Foco) $17

3-pack from Amazon ($25)

Gaiter scarf from Foco ($15)

Gaiter scarf 2-pack from Amazon ($25)

No-touch keychains are now back in stock at MDen. $5.95

Champion has now joined the mask game. However at $12.95 for a single mask when you can get a good 3-pack for $25 is steep.

These ones aren't new but they're finally not on preorder anymore and are in-store on the shelves at MDen.

$25 3-packs at MDen. Highly recommend these. Incredibly comfortable and over time they will stretch to fit your face very well. So much so that my girlfriend and I have been trading mask designs after washes and the ones she's been wearing are smaller on me and mine are big on her.

Is there a better summary of America than people refusing to wear masks for *reasons* while companies pump out $13 masks?

Also TIL no-touch keychains exist. Strange times indeed.

Probably not, but I can't complain, I've made a killing off stocks and options the last 3 months. Businesses are going to take advantage of everything they can, might as well get in on the free money action.

I have one, use it all day at work.  We bought them for our employees, each person has at least 10-25 shared touch points every day, I probably interact with 40 common touch screens let alone other touch points. With less fingers on buttons, screens and doors, there is less risk and exposure, why are these concepts so hard for some people to grasp???

Something sure could get on your device but the surface area is significantly smaller than a fingertip or the palm of your hand grabbing a door handle so it’s a lot less likely.  But yea, even though it’s exponentially better than touching something directly, we just shouldn’t use it at all because there’s a chance the virus can attach to it.

For the record, I didn’t suggest they shouldn’t be used. I also work from home and when I do go places where I know I’ll touch something I either use hand sanitizer Immediately or gloves I can throw away (like for a pump at a gas station). Those sound better to me than a keychain I would probably not clean all that often. The tone of your post came across as pretty condescending.

They only really work if used perfectly. What ends up happening, though, is people use the key and then they don't wash their hands as much. Plus, copper is not immediately antimicrobial. It can take hours to kill germs on the surface. Copper also loses its antimicrobial properties if it's not regularly cleaned.

Really, it's much better to just wash your hands and carry hand sanitizer.

The surfaces of copper and its alloys, such as brass and bronze, are antimicrobial. They have an inherent ability to kill a wide range of harmful microbes relatively rapidly.  This is why they are selling brass keys/pulls.

You’ll probably love this:

Izzo, Merchant, and Barnes Arico helped to unveil a new television public service announcement released by the state of Michigan, entitled “Ball’s In Your Court,” which promotes wearing face coverings/masks. While they will not attend the press conference, the video also features Michigan State football head coach Mel Tucker, Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh, and Michigan men’s basketball head coach Juwan Howard. This is an important issue for each coach, as safety is a top priority for them and their players, and a delayed or canceled season is obviously not ideal for their respective programs. The collective message from the head coaches is one of unity amongst the rival schools.

“We are all in this together — as one team, whether that is Maize and Blue or Green and White,” Howard said, via press release. “Wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and washing your hands are easy steps to help us all succeed. Let’s all do our part to be safe and stay healthy.”https://www.theonlycolors.com/2020/7/15/21325648/balls-in-your-court-psa-izzo-tucker-merchant-gov-whitmer-urge-michigan-residents-to-wear-masks

And my corona hellscape is complete.  WD apparel threads for how to show your love of UM during a pandemic.  I swear man, if you ever went to prison, you would use your precious internet time to push UM branded shower sandals.
