NCAAFB Open Thread: That team that looks like Michigan
We've got a break between basketball's victory and soccer's impending awesome. What better than some FCS football?
New Hampshire is at Delaware. Blue Hens in the maize-ish and blue-ish and the winged helmets. UNH is up 3 as the 1st quarter is coming to an end.

Loser gets dropped from the United States, and has to play next year as a Canadian Province.

fires their coach, hires Charlie Weiss to "turn it around"

Can we just trade Ohio to Canada? How about a 6-pack of Blue?
December 11th, 2010 at 7:35 AM ^
There are many states I would like to be a part of my awesome country, but Ohio ain't one of them. You can keep that one!

but be nice to Joe Flacco, Tim Hightower, and the many other FCSers from the A10.
EDIT: meant as a reply to Blue in SB's comment about relegation.

I don't think he was insulting the talent on said FCS teams... just insulting two tiny states going at it.

Pat Devlin was once a PSU QB but transfer to Delaware to get PT. he's considered to be a 2nd rounder in the NFL draft.
December 10th, 2010 at 8:57 PM ^
He will never ever ever make it in the NFL after failing to start at a BCS school-
Signed, Joseph P. Flacco

Nice arm, goes through progression read and good mechanics. I can see why he's considered to be a 2nd rounder for the upcoming NFL draft.

Much as I like seeing the wanabe wolverines lose, Pam Ward is the color commentator for that game, and he is just awful

Much as I like seeing the wanabe wolverines lose,
Why do you want them to lose? Delaware was coached by a pair of UM grads for decades. They brought the colors and helmets to the school. It's an homage to us, not copycatting.
December 10th, 2010 at 10:51 PM ^
I like to think of them as our other little brother.

.......the one we actually like and don't pick on, right?

Michigan is Chris. So that means,
Delaware is Stewie and Michigan State is Megan?
December 11th, 2010 at 12:09 PM ^
No way. Michigan is Brian.
I'll give you Stewie and Meg. I think Charlie Weis is Chris.

UNH defender on the ground, and it looks like he's screaming in pain.
December 10th, 2010 at 9:16 PM ^
Dammit
I would have so gambled somehow on this game had I known it was on. I just assumed all the playoff games were tomorrow

I know you are mgoblog royalty, but apply this heuristic. Don't bet on games unless you know what day they are.

Doth I hear a peasant challenging a fair noble? Know thy place, serf!

Update anyone? I'm stuck in the law school basement, sans TV.
December 10th, 2010 at 10:28 PM ^
9-3 Delaware, end of 3rd.
December 10th, 2010 at 10:54 PM ^
like we did for Slippery Rock.
After a few beers and a few quarters of football, it will look like a regular home game.
Except for the part where the defense is really good.

those helmets!!!

No true Michigan Man has more victories as a football coach than former Delaware HC Harold "Tubby" Raymond, who retired in 2001 with an even 300. He played for Fritz Crisler.
