Pretty remarkable the series of events that needed to transpire to turn North Carolina into a plucky underdog story that people kind of pull for.
But when you're the 8 playing against the defending champ, and then you're playing against Coach K and Duke, and then you're playing Kansas...
I'm ok if the score stays where it is.
they would beat UCLA, Dook, and Kansas which is kinda cool, first team to do that in the same season since I was born.

Sorry but I just can’t root for UNC. When I was younger they were the cocky team you loved to hate, not Duke, who were just beginning their ascent. I’ve got nothing against Hubert Davis or the players.

NC is by far the tougher team so far. Kansas is content with jacking up long 3s without much success when they seem to score at will inside. I don't understand the coaching thought there.
I’m rooting for Kansas. I have some good friends that are huge Kansas fans…Of course their losing.
Such a great tournament though. Get hot at the right moment and make a run. Michigan has been so close recently!! I think JH will get us there.

Credit to UNC for going from a team that struggled to put away Syracuse at home and lost to Va Tech in the 2nd round of the ACC tournament to possibly winning the national title. I've never liked UNC and absolutely think if Duke wasn't also in that conference/state the hatred for them would be greater, but seeing Bill Self mess up yet another golden opportunity does make me pull for them slightly.
That turned quickly.

(Though it's surprising how often a team uses up all its energy (and karma) to fight back from a big deficit, and then have nothing left for the rest of the game. Full credit to the Jayhawks, but we'll have to see if they're able to maintain that energy going forward).
You guys cheered for big cheaters last night. Sorry. (It's also true that UNC fans cheered for big cheaters.)
I'd acknowledge that many schools cheat to some degree.

Kansas has deep range. They are good all the way out to 4 feet. If i was UNC id do a box and one and pack that paint.

I noticed that against Duke. Scarey how similar they play and look. Some similar mannerisms as well.
But I feel Caleb Love really hurt NC today with his wild shot selection.
This is setting up to be a great ending. We haven't had a buzzer beater yet this tournament. What separates a great tourney from a good tourney are the quality and quantity of buzzer beaters. I don't think it can be a great tournament without one.

That's scary watching that kid 'throw up' on the court. Isn't that a symptom of having a heart attack?
That was my first thought, some kind of heart arrhythmia. And the replay showed the Kansas kid pointing at him before even goes down, obviously seeing this kid needed some help.
Our favorite sideline reporter says he took a blow to the stomach, and will be fine. She's the best, of course.

Perception in sports is so funny. They built a 15 point lead in six minutes, why is chocking for Kansas to erase it in 8 minutes? The order of operations doesn’t actually matter to anything but narratives and storylines

I noticed Hubert Davis doesn't believe in timeouts when other teams go on a run, I felt he did the same thing against Baylor. But go NC credit they did right the ship after Kansas took the lead. But the undisciplined shot selection and tired legs eventually did NC in.
McCormack was a beast in that 2nd half. Defensive impact was huge. Obviously made a few big shots too. Great game
