And that will be last. The burger had almost no flavor. (Not to mention the stores look like bathrooms.)
In N Out is much better, though not the best burger out there.

Used to walk into a Mexican themed nightclub in Lugano Switzerland and before I was done saying hi to everyone a shot of tequila and a corona was waiting for me at the bar

That wouldn't get you a bedroom in a share in the more expensive parts of Brooklyn. (Okay, slight exaggeration. But only slight.) Regardless, I'd think his salary could cover it.

saying a Big Ten team is called for less fouls than other teams can support the argument that the refs in the conference are more lenient, not that any of the teams are more finesse.

I think it came down to the two air balls by UK late. Kentucky up by four, ran bad isolation plays and the ball handler freaks out when there's no one to pass to. Changed the game.

has anyone tried the burger at Zingerman's Roadhouse or Blue Tractor? My last visit in A2 I had great food at both.

though honestly, I've lost interest in the last 10+ years for obvious reasons. I still don't know how they ever won anything but watching a guy like Mase go up against Jordan and the Bulls was such great fun.
Everyone in NY loved Mase and still does. (Charles Smith is another story though.)

You weren't that lunatic hanging from the stop light on South U in the rain storm, were you? I remember that we somehow ended up with a stop sign in the dorm after that.
Worst thing about that, apart from the damage to the shops was that they tore up south U and put in the pink and white checkerd sidewalk and giant pink planters. It's as though they hired the interior designer of the Iowa locker room.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||I'm not keen on it, but do we need to worry?||
The following is a rambling by a middle aged alumnus avoiding his work. Proceed with caution.
I understand the complaints about picking on a kid, but this is not simply an idea he came up with in a bar and forgot by morning. The question is how far this would go. If they chose to play his song after The Victors (kind of a "can't have one without the other") I think you'd affect a lot of people who may not be too happy about it. And I would be one of them.
I remember Willy the Wolverine, and it's good he didn't last, but I was a student at the time and it seemed like harmless fun. We certainly do not need this song and we didn't need Willy. That we can all agree on.
I do wonder how well it would all go down if he was even to come up with a song. Would it just plain suck? Would only a few people like it? Would it die a rapid death in spite of our greatest fears that it would catch on and be the trailer to the Victors van?
If he wants to try to get people involved in the project that will get him connections and notoriety, I guess that's ambition. I think most of us wouldn't want him to try to improve on something that does not need improving. (Remember the "halo" at the stadium?) I can't say I'd personally like or dislike the kid.

His announcing at football games is fine. His announcing at tennis matches is atrocious.

we were all experiencing the letdown of the previous game, and the team showed it on the field that day.
We had no idea what being on the losing end of a beatdown really was at that phase of our lives.

Love how Michaels before the NE TD was talking about the deflate gate and then CC said how great it is to step away from that talk for three hours.

dinner tonight was at Costello Plan, deep in the heart of Brooklyn. Lamb sandwich and a southern French Cab Franc-Merlot-Syrah blend to wash it down. Then a stop off at nearby Bar Chord to have a beer (Ithaca IPA) and a bit o music from a fun country band, Bill Carney’s Jug Addicts. (Yes, they have a washboard player.)
