17-24
January 10th, 2011 at 9:49 PM ^
They lost on the road, 24-17.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:42 PM ^
the stage of the game where the offenses take over and we don't see a stop for the rest of the game?
January 10th, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^
Looks awkward.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^
Gus Malzahn runs that team. Chizik doesn't even call timeouts.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:50 PM ^
It doesn't look like he does anything.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:52 PM ^
Yeah, I laughed when they said Chizik won the Coach of the Year award - guy seems like he is just along for the ride.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:48 PM ^
I really don't like Cam Newton - just so annoying to see a guy who clearly cheated be given a free pass while UM was dragged through the mud for basically nothing.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:49 PM ^
Might as well go for it.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:49 PM ^
Nice pass SCAM!!
January 10th, 2011 at 9:50 PM ^
Newton arm punt?
January 10th, 2011 at 9:50 PM ^
Suck it Auburn. Go Ducks!
January 10th, 2011 at 9:50 PM ^
Newton really does remind me of Tebow - a big athlete who probably won't make it in the pros because he has wonky mechanics and won't be able to just push guys around at the next level.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
Hey bronx, what does your opinion of Newton say about Pryor? I sorta agree with you but I think Newton is 10x the player Pryor is.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:52 PM ^
But wide open, PLOP! Good timing!

Now a 99 yard run in one play.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:53 PM ^
Wow, I've completely forgotten that teams could be stopped. Strange
January 10th, 2011 at 9:55 PM ^
That was the most predictable playcall I've ever seen, and exactly the result I expected. Just through it - you are not going to push Auburn back on the 1 yard line.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:56 PM ^
Why stretch? One weakness, no power run game for Oregon without Blount. BTW, I took the under, so far so good.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:59 PM ^
Nothing but space.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:01 PM ^
I'm not convinced TCU isn't better than one, or both, of these teams.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
Not impressed with Barner's returns. Leaves alot of yardage on the field dancing around like Shaw did.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:04 PM ^
Run into traffic rather than away from it.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:04 PM ^
Always throwing cheapshots... toss that guy out.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^
I don't understand something about the NCAA and Cam Newton. Fine, his father managed to keep Cam completely in the dark about shopping his around. Even if that were true, why wasn't Auburn punished for paying Cam's father?
Maybe I'm missing whether that's been established or not but it's a reasonable inference that if other teams were offering to pay, the team he ended up gave some consideration too.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
The problem is that you can't really "infer" NCAA violations like that - too high a burden of proof to rely on conjecture. I fully expect there to be an expose after the year that shows Auburn knew and probably even paid him, but without that level of proof the NCAA couldn't/wouldn't be able to impose major sanctions.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
Newton should be ineligable because of his dad's actions. The NCAA really F'ed that whole thing up.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:17 PM ^
January 10th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Google Auburn recruiting slot machines. Yeah. Wow. It's just a matter of time.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^
both of these teams. Too bad we won't get a chance to find out if they are better.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
Uhm, yeah.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
Wasn't the Over/Under something like 73? Got a long way to go to even get close. That being said, both teams will probably blow up in the secondf half
January 10th, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
Could there be a record for comments on one thread? Maybe.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
We'd be hard pressed to match the Orange Bowl last week no more the 1200 posts for the NCAA Hockey Tourney game.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
I wasn't aware that the record was that.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
To 7 overtimes, who know?
January 10th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
Won't even be close to the record.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
Why punt there? There were 39 seconds left and they were at the Auburn 40. Auburn had no timeouts left, so even if UO had turned it over on downs, they still would have been hard-pressed to score.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
that was very Lloyd-like.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
They can move the ball, that's for sure.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:13 PM ^
January 10th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
Oh boy, Nick Saban and Urban Meyer at halftime? I might just throw up with excitement.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
January 10th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
For Chizik to do.

I hate this so much of this game has come down to poor play from Thomas. However the rest of it seems to be Auburn out RPS-ing Chip Kelly.
January 10th, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
I might just change the channel for 15 minutes.

Pretty good game so far. I'm fairly entertained.
