The thread is starting to lock up due to too many comments, so let's continue the conversation here.
"Rodrick Williams Jr.'s 10-month old, 2-foot-long savannah monitor named "Kill" gets the RB some strange looks when they go for walks together."
Sparty no! Another turnover
HAHAHA what a jackass move.
What if I want to talk about Tennessee?
Then you die
Hey how did Jourdan Lewis do tonight?
That is remarkably bad for a WR.
Why do I feel like I'm at the 2009 Michigan , Utah game? Only with reverse pain.
Or 2008, whatever I'm intoxicated
Losing to that Utah team by 3 or whatever was probably the highlight of that season.
Good call - was about to create a new thread as well.
MSU isn't good enough to keep giving the ball up here. Also, this Boise team is going to be BAD this year unless they figure out how to run a coherent offense.
MSU has a top ten defense. Boise won't play a better defense all year.
Boise has been doing well in the passing game. They just cannot run the ball at all.
Yeah, Boise just isn't that good this year. They lost too many horses to be a top-25 type team this year.
Tom gholston with the penalty....shocker.
I'm feeling remarkably confident about our chances against MSU. Yes, I know Maxwell can improve, but unless he improves fast there's gonna be issues. They have ND, Iowa, and OSU before us, they can't just pound Bell for 40 carries and expect to dominate against us
Hey, that's All American Bell.
I feel the same way. If we can get pressure, he'll be dancing around like Joey Harrington back there.
Joey Harrington was the most happiest feetest qback I have ever seen. As a tru lions fan he drove me more insane than I already was/am.
There is no reason Boise should be able to move the ball like this against MSU. But if they keep running this up-temp offense, MSU's line is going to be gassed.
STOP RUNNING THE BALL
State run D looks solid.
Their pass d is great when there is a trash tornado.
Dear lord why are they rushing up the middle? That's all MSU can stop, and you're playing right into their hands
Boise has a new OC this year. I'm thinking they are having some serious growing pains.
Should have gone for the underneath play there. Set up an easier 4th down play.
And oh, I JUST SAW THE MSU STUDENTS WAVING THEIR KEYS AROUND FOR THAT 3RD DOWN!!!! I thought UM students were "too lame" when they did that?
Oh my God, do they Zook as their OC?!
See I think Zook is a verb so it's like Do they Zook as their OC? With Zook in this case meaning gesture wildly while being unable to comprehend basic football?
Nope, still doesn't work.
Regardless of how this game ends, I think it is clear that MSU peaked last year and they will never be that good again. The race for the Legends is basically over.
it's a bit soon to make that conclusion but i like that thought.
Ehhhh, let's go ahead and wait on that one. I have no idea how good we're going to be, nor do we know if Nebraska has decided to have an offensive line or not.
Seriously, what is the counter to LBs who come that hard on running plays? Can't you flare a TE to the middle of the field and pick up an easy 6-7 yards?
The old play action waggle to Riemersma is always effective.
You have to make Michigan State back out of their man coverage look, the linebackers can have tunnel vision when they're in that set. A consistant passing offensive would do the trick.
Anything past the 40 of MSU and I'd go for it. With the way college punting is, unless you have a stud kicker you're probably going to net 20 yards of field position.
I know other people are talking about MSU's run D here, but outside of the LBs I'm not seeing it. Boise is just really bad at running the ball.
Some predicted 30 pt blowouts. Now they're bitching that Boise plays too many trick plays. Seem to be forgetting how they won several games...
Im feeling much better about the msu game watching this.
Sparty's gameplan is to run the ball with Bell. Thoughts?
I say Boise State will pull this game out 20-16. Any thoughts?
Stupid question - Why did that drive start at the 20 yard line? I thought touchbacks started at the 25 now?
