Minor's status -- 'inside' info?
Qualification: I intentionally put a question mark after the "'inside' info" because what follows is something that anyone could have observed simply by being at a certain place at a certain time.
--------------------------------
I came in to town for the game and am staying at the Campus Inn (where the M team is traditionally housed prior to every home game--for the 3 of you who may not know this). I was standing out front at about 4:15 PM yesterday and saw 3 blue M busses pull up, one after the other. Then came the inevitable goosebumps when I realized there were a bunch of large-bodied individuals in M gear about to step off their rides. I happened to be paying the most attention to the middle bus, fixated on each emerging face, hoping to know each name and as quickly as possible. The last person off the middlle bus was Minor so I got a nice, long Iook at him. It didn't click at the time, but Minor was carrying a large-to-medium size bag on his left shiulder and a smaller bag in his right hand. Bottom line from what I saw then: players looked super focused, everybody seems to love giant headphones, and Minor was carrying two pretty big sports bags despite the messed up shoulder that is supposedly too injured for him to play tomorrow.
I could be way wrong w this, but based on what I saw ( the "sniff test" if you will), I think he plays tomorrow in some capacity.
Again, I could be totally wrong on this, especially because I don't know the specifics of the problem with his shoulder and it's very feasible for someone with a hurt shoulder to still be able to carry semi-heavy stuff despite not being ready for a football game. If you see him in the game, think of this post. If not, sorry for taking a small observation and perhaps reading too much in to it.
Either way ...Go Blue

Yeah...I still don't trust the injury report. It's probably illogical, but I just don't see Minor not playing today. Perhaps it's some gamesmanship by Rodriguez...or a miraculous recovery by Minor...or maybe he really won't play.

vicodin or percocet or norco or demerol or oxycontin. GOOD STUFF! :P
Jokes aside, can you image the noise level of the stadium if Minor does come in? If there is any day to pray for Michigan to summon up their innate ability to compete and destroy an opposing team, today is the day. Go Blue. Destroy Ohio State. Make ColumbASS burn tonight!

I hope he gives us one strong showing for the road. God I wish he was healthier the past couple years. Would have been something to see.

I hope your crutch comes to fruition with Minor Raging all over the field today. Thanks for the post, and for sharing this 'insider info.' Another advantage of this great blog.

he will play.

It's his last chance to play against OSU. I gotta think if he's remotely cleared to play, he's in the game.

A senior with his passion finds a way to get in the action today of all days. He'll have a month to rehab before the bowl game.

Rich Rod said "doubtful" on Inside Michigan Football last night. I thought his official status was "out".
There is a crack of light!

"Its the person who's willing to die for that inch who wins."
Brandon Minor - RAGE - fits that better than any player, ever. If he isn't dead, he'll go. The crowd's eruption when they see him make his way on the field is going to blow up my TV's speakers....
WE BELIEVE! (clap, clap) WE BELIEVE! (clap, clap)
GO BLUE!

Am I the only one who is annoyed with the way RichRod has gamed the injury reports this year? If Minor plays (which, like, obviously I really want him to), I will be affirmatively angry with RichRod.

Are you betting your mom's social security check with Vegas bookies? Gambling your kid's college fund? Putting one of your wife's kidneys on the line? Or one of your testicles? Who gives a shit?

I'm not/I won't be angry with Rodriguez, but the way his injury reports have turned out seems a bit disingenuous. It's happened numerous times where a guy who isn't listed on the injury report doesn't play, or where a guy listed as "out" does play.
The point of an injury report is to keep the fans informed, right? So if the injury report isn't informative, then what's the point of Rodriguez wasting his time putting together/discussing an injury report? I think that's the OP's point.

Especially since RichRod said he wants this to become something every team does when he first started giving out the injury reports. He's not going to have much success getting others to follow his lead if he keeps making inaccurate reports.

According to his bio page, Brandon is "enrolled in the Division of Kinesiology ... undeclared major".
So Minor has no major. Therefore, football is major to Minor.
QED: major chance Minor plays today.

The injury report is inaccurate. Also if anyone caught Gameday this morning you saw Herby sitting across from Desmond talking about Minor needing to have a big day etc and they are going to run him a lot. He may just be misinformed and ignorant (again, wouldn't be the first time) but who knows? We will see at noon.

Well, so much for trying to read the tea leaves...
