Michigan/Late Afternoon Games Open Thread

I just don't want to deal with the Liveblog today. And there are a number of good games in all 3 slots for a change. No #1 vs. #2, but a lot of depth this weekend.

That said, who knows what the power players at Georgia could be thinking. One scenario would be Georgia and Florida (rivals) to the Big Ten, citing the cutthroat nature of the SEC. However, recent NCAA scholarship reforms will help solve some of the problems in college athletics today. As for Richt, his contract runs through 2013. He only has one loss in conference so far this year, which might help. Then again, he's already making 2.8 million a year.

I'm sorry. I really don't understand why people attack Borges so much. Yes, he has had a few poor moments, but that would be true of any o coordinator.
He just engineered 250 yards in one half against the #6 D in the land with a below average throwing qb, who has struggled throwing in the red zone his whole career. (See MSU last year).
Play calling is not the reason why it's only 14-0. It's maybe a part, but execution has been awful at key points, most notatably 3 qb turnovers.

is a good example. Should have been a pass with a bit more underneath and to the back of endzone. Instead, it was a bullet giving Odoms no chance, albeit a smallish receiver.

The hail mary was another one in which DR throws a bullet, overthrows his deep guys (nothing new) and gives them no chance to make a play. I know it's a low percentage play and I'm nitpicking, but man, oh man, the wasted opportunities.

Just hope it doesn't bite them in the 2nd half.
