|9 weeks 2 days ago||Maybe||
But there was a thread yesterday that confirmed it.... I'm on the app so I can't post the link. Or don't want to take the time, anyway.
|9 weeks 2 days ago||Okay||
I'm not usually a "board snob" but this has been posted at least three times.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Fire Beilein!||
I think he's done a great job building the program. I just don't think he can take us to next level. We can't shoot FT, develop big men.... Rabble, rabble, rabble.
|19 weeks 2 days ago||So you are 19 now?||
UM won there in 2008-2009. Massive comeback capped by a Laval-Lucas Perry three if I recall correctly.
|19 weeks 2 days ago||No,||
Watching Nik miss everything all first half and GR3 all game long did. That, couple with no back to the basket type post player (or philosophy) is going to force your PG into that position.
|19 weeks 2 days ago||You are||
Probably also glad Denard is gone too....
|21 weeks 5 days ago||The day||
RDT was exposed was one of the best days on this blog. Maybe RDT is really Manti Te'o.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||I think||
Darrell Funk is one of the best Oline coaches in the country. I think losing Molk has had a negative impact that is beyond measure.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||Not that it matters||
But I think this is one of the most rational posts of the night.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||Very||
|33 weeks 2 days ago||Yes, of course||
Because Al Borges decided to force denard to turn the ball over five times in one of those games, and hurt is elbow in another.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||So a timeout||
On a drive in which Nebraska gained 5 first downs, without throwing a pass, gives Michigan a chance to win a game they trail by two touchdowns?
|33 weeks 2 days ago||Maybe it isn't Borges||
Maybe it's the loss of the best center on the land, a big play WR, a veteran tight end that can block and catch (as opposed to two tight ends that seem to only be able to do one of those), another SR OL, and a great 4 yr starting WR.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||You'd have to stop them first||
Which, wasn't going to happen. Nebraska gained 56 yards on that last drive. Without attempting a pass. Calling a timeout doesn't do anything.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||Maybe||
Nobody will ever be happy with play calling around here though. You throw too much against bama, people cry fro denard's legs. You run too much, they say air it out. He throws 5 ints, they say throw bubble screens. They play conservative to protect the ball, they say this is boring. You lose the starting QB and they say why can't the OC get recovers open.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||?||
What would timeouts have accomplished? The D was gassed and at that point Nebraska was running at will, picking up first downs without even considering throwing. Timeouts don't change that.
|33 weeks 2 days ago||Hmm...||
Maybe the common denominator there isn't poor play calling, but rather the lack of talented qb play.
|39 weeks 6 days ago||Roll Damn Tide||
No one believe a word of this thread. This is simply Roll Damn Tide. Up to the old antics.

Is a little heavier. But it is really hard to find something on the level of spotted cow.
|1 year 12 weeks ago||Suprised||
How good it is. Especially around the holidays when apple goes with everything you eat.
|1 year 12 weeks ago||What||
Is your disposition on the Fat Squirrel or Apple Ale?
|1 year 23 weeks ago||Far we thier praises sing||
For the glory and fame they've brought us.....
|1 year 23 weeks ago||Good Stuff.||
We just disagree a bit. I hope you are more right than I am.
|1 year 23 weeks ago||Lots of Optimism||
I realize that this is a Michigan blog and that means there is always a certain maize and blue slant. I also realize that coming off a Sugar Bowl victory that the joy and optimism is almost at zenith.
That said, I'm afraid that many are setting themselves up to be dissappointed. There have been several threads in the past two days so I won't bring up all the talking points. But remember:
1. This year's team over-acheived. even if it was only one or two games, it clearly surpassed expectations.
2. Denard still has a lot of issues. He was awful in the Sugar Bowl. People like to blame Borges, but Borges didn't bounce passes to wide open backs on screens that were beautifully set up, Borges didn't almost throw 5 interceptions in 21 attempts. Maybe you could cite Borges a bit for the 13 yards rushing, but it's obvious Denard is still an average-at-best passer.
3. Molk, Martin, RVB, and Hemingway are enormous losses. People tend to underestimate how enormous. You can'y play the "State or Nebraska loses key players" card and undersell Michigan's key losses.
4. As much as we probably hate to admit it, MSU will be ok. Worthy loss hurts, yes. But even though Cousins was a three-year captain, I wouldn't be schocked if Maxwell is better, as early as next year. Fowler and Arnett will cushion the losses at WR.
5. No matter the personnell, Nebraska is going to be tough to beat at their place.
Now I hope I am just being a pessimist. I'll eat boatloads of crow if I'm wrong on all of the above. But with Bama on the schedule... Anything more than 9-3 in the regular season will be overachieving. Let's hope they do it again.
|1 year 23 weeks ago||I agree.||
Also, don't be surprised if Maxwell is an upgrade over cousins, and if Bell becomes consistent, I think Sparty can improve from this year.
|1 year 23 weeks ago||Love the optimism||
But Khoury will have to figure an awful lot out to become the best player at his position in the country, as was his predecessor.

Einhorn is Finkle. Finkle is Einhorn!!!!!!!!!!!
|1 year 28 weeks ago||Final Four||
This is not exactly my dream scenario, but it what I think could be most realistic.
