I would actually like to see the all-maize uniforms we wore against Florida last year adopted as our permanent road uniforms. I thought they were classy and intimidating, and they would be almost as unique and memorable as our home uniforms. No one would have to think twice about what team they're watching (even though the helmets pretty much do the trick in that regard).

I like maize as well, however last year's uniforms that we wore against Florida looked a little too close to WVU. If they could tweak them to look less like WVU and more like Michigan I'd be happy.

I disagree, I think the whites are the cleanest and best (other than homes, obviously) that we’ve ever had. I hope we never get rid of them. I thought the maize uniforms looked fine, but I would prefer to never see them again. Maybe blue pants one day?

Loved the all maize too. It could have been even better if it wasn’t in the color rush style. More Blue could be used in the design to add more visual interest.
However, I would advocate that the all maize be reserved for neutral site games and non-playoff and non-Rose Bowl bowl games.
I have no preference for either all white or white shirt maize pants road unis. If JJH has a preference, that is fine with me.

Well the fact that they wore the maize pants once last year on the road did open the door for us to ask if there’s another big road game that we wear those again. I prefer the maize pants with white top, really because that’s what I grew up with and it looks the cleanest.

my biggest thing is the dark shoes with white socks. It looks awful. I also don’t like the striping on the pants. The maize pants are plain and simple. And they wear dark socks with dark shoes.

The point is they didn't come out of nowhere--Harbaugh resurrected the away uniform from his childhood. Not his playing days--his childhood. This was someone bringing back something from the program's past because, well, wouldn't you?
