...is the result of poor coaching down the stretch. Coach B blew it by allowing a shot at the end of regulation. 2 fouls to give and then a 1 and 1. Game over; Michigan win. Very disappointing.

It is pretty obvious that there is really no focused game plan to close out games for Michigan. It seems to dissolve into going to one-on-ones, or not designing plays to get someone open.  Obviously hitting one of about 10 missed lay-ups would have helped as well, but it would be nice to feel like a time-out actually resulted in a designed play-type substance that focused some effort into getting one of the shooters into a good position to get an open shot or move the ball in something other than a long-range 3 point shot.

Also, how many times this year has it been brought up that you foul with a 3 point lead and less than 5 seconds left before teams, you know, actually implement the strategy?

you sir are absolutely pathetic. Getting beat or tied by incredibly low percentage shots sucks, but is not a reflection on bad coaching. Amaker and Ellerbe were bad coaches...Bielein has us set for a number one sead. Grow some balls and take losing a close game to a B1G foe like a man

Everyone on our team is terrible!  Our coach is terrible!  Levert should never even be playing!  Burke is so overrated!  I can't believe how clueless our coaching is!  Our team doesn't even try!

terrible all around. I think some of the posters bashing this team need to get their heads examined. They lost a close game in difficult place to play, while being completely railroaded by the officials.

People need to stop acting the foul before the shot is taken is 100% clear cut. There is always the risk of the player shooting the three as soon as he touches and getting three free throws. Wisky hit a 1 and 200 type shot.

Edit:Unless this was meant to be sarcasm, which I apologize if it is.

About refs, we did not execute, stupid plays, we blew this game. They need to improve before the tournament. Must win in Lansing to have a chance at title.

Yes, we FUCKED UP by not fouling that little turd.

But the winning bucket was scored after Stauskas had won a clear rebound, only to have his arm broken off in front of the ref, who not only didn't call the foul but actually said it went out off of us!!!!!

FUCKING BULLSHIT decision!!!!

For all you idiots trying to blame the coaching staff:

Beilein was calling for the foul at the end of regulation. Dakich even mentioned that Beilein was telling the guys to foul.

A true freshman made a mistake. Life goes on. Beat STAEE.

At state, next....not liking our chances there. Could very easily lose the home games against IU and state also. But this game was a complete cluster fuck. I mean how can you not foul w/ 2.5 sec left?! Have to deny that guy the ball. Championship teams don't miss that many layups either. Beating Ohio is great, but championship teams win games like these. We are not there yet. Just a friggin unnecessary loss. Also Wisconsin has the most ridiculous luck against us I have ever seen. I mean holy hell

Did nobody not see Belien tell these goofs to foul? He told them to foul!! The officials missed some calls on both ends but the game could have been put away but this team lacks toughness and heart. They play NBA style instead of tough hard-nosed do whatever they need to to get a rebound or bucket style ball. I have no doubt they will lose to State because they will play in your face style ball and Michigan does not respond well to getting pushed and smacked in the mouth. If it's a wide open game Michigan does well. If its a half court slow it down type game, Michigan will get beat if a team has some talent. Wisconsin looked more athletic today because they wanted it more.

How about running some plays at the end of games instead of trey Burke iso's? Way too predictable.....anyone see GRIII the last few games? MIA.

conversation isn't happening if we simply guard the guy inbounding the ball at the end of regulation.  I would have thought Beilein learned that against OSU in the Big 10 tourney.

I don't see why a lot of people consider him to be a one and done. He's good, but not lottery or 1st round good. His play as of late shows that he needs at least another year in AA.

Is it just me or do I feel like I just watched the same last 5 minutes of a game 3 games in a row?  in losses like this you look for teachable moments to build on...but how many more games will it take for Burke to run the offense at the end?

you can't bitch about the offcials, what point is it ok to bitch about the officials? No wonder college basketball officiating is so piss poor, when people just make excuses for these idiots every game.

not that there are any other teams out there that qualify as "elite" right now but the fact is we are just one of a set of top 15 teams that are pretty good but not great. Our defense is mediocre, we have no real inside presence, and Stauskus and GRIII are regressing at an increasingly rapid pace.
