Michigan vs MSU in women's basketball @ 6 PM

Submitted by phoolishphil on February 24th, 2022 at 6:13 PM

In the rematch the Wolverines are trying to avenge an earlier loss to the Spartans.

If Michigan wins out, they win the Big Ten.

Now down 12-4 as the turnover problem is rearing its ugly head.

@enlightenedbum

i see that 29.9%, but i wouldn't be surprised to see that was one that is trending up.  also, last year she shot nearly 41% which is pretty other-worldly.   either way, i am not challenging her to a game of 'horse' any time soon.

EDIT:  with iowa a likely winner tonight over a poor rutger team, its really going to come down to the ladies playing at iowa sunday for all the marbles.  winner of that game will be the B10 champ.

Leigha Brown's absence due to her lingering injury suffered at the end of January and the inability to reschedule the February 3 game at Illinois (6-18 1-12 in Big Ten games and winless since January 9) makes the final game of the regular season at Iowa a difficult challenge for the Wolverines who are only 5-4 in away games this season. It could mean the difference between first place and third place in the Big Ten standings.

A win would make the Wolverines 14-3 and Big Ten champs. A loss would make the Wolverines 13-4, and if Ohio State beats Michigan State, then Iowa and Ohio State both would be 14-4. Ohio State then would be Big Ten champs thanks to having beaten Iowa in the only game they've played, despite Michigan then having a combined 3-1 record against Ohio State and Iowa.

I'm being reminded of the old UPS commercial and that tagline, "What can Brown do for you?"

And that "Seinfeld" moment.
