What this tells me is that except for DL and RB, our team has the physical measurable to match up with Bama. Also no way is Mayfield playing at 275. Nor is Henry Ruggs running a 4.25

Edit: looked it up and Mayfield is listed at 319.

He probably is at 319 now. The 275 is from September, and is probably from and earlier time than September.

The 4.25 was reported by a few places. 247 was one:

But 40 times are subjective. Either way, he's very fast.

Its going to be UGLY...I hate going into a bowl game pretty much already knowing the result.. I would love nothing more to be proven wrong. Harbaugh just cant win these games. The results speak for themselves

Like the summary.

Nice graphics.  Would like to see the OL vs opponent d-line for comparison .... but all in all very good.

I'm ever optimistic with UM but I have to be honest here my brain is having to endure mental gymnastics that would impress Simone Biles to get myself to a Michigan win. In reality I just see this...

Q1/Start of game: Bama scores a quick 10-14 points and there are a lot of "F bombs" in the game thread...real early...

Q2: Michigan big plays put them at 17-7 and everyone is like "why don't they just keep doing that WTF?!?!?! Keep throwing it up to Nico!!!!

Q3: Bama comes out and lays it on; 27-10 and the open thread is full of "that's it...see you guys next year I'm done with this shit". We also sprinkle in some "I'm done with this I'm not even watching next year don't want to mess up Saturdays". Lot of talk about Down Brown at this point as the Alabama offense just trucks UM on the ground.

Q4: Just a bunch of "damns" in the game thread. Game ends 45-21, Alabama. This is where we also see the Steve Deace line of thinking "that's it guys UM plays 11 games next year I'm not watching the osu game or bowl game anymore Michigan only plays 11 games".

I love this team and really I can always find a way to see a win..even against osu this year I was full of hope and glee.

What the hell, forget all the above and Go Blue! Michigan shocks everyone and wins 31-27

I agree and to me it isn't even a "Michigan issue" as much as just a blah feeling about bowls.I used to get into it even if UM had an 8-4 year or so and now I just don't. It feels like it's not a part of the 2019 season or the 2020 season. It's like a special exhibition game that you can make feel good if you win but more of a "screw it who cares" if you lose.

I do think this year a win would feel really effing good against Alabama and may even put michigan in the top 10 to finish (which can be argued if that even matters but I do think there is something more than just good vibes to starting and ending the season yearly as a legit top 10 team that over time lifts your team in recruiting, etc.)

But yeah I'm with you.

The OP's "tale of the tape" illustrates the quality of Alabama recruits.  How Saban got there has an interesting history.  Recall that Saban (after a stint at OSU) became HC at MSU.  He then left MSU because he realized he could not successfully compete with UM for recruits in the state. According to the link below, he left because Michigan got in his head.

I thought DPJ ran a sub 4.4 40?  I don't know where these 40-times are from but it makes me sad if our fastest receiver would be their 4th fastest skill position player.
