Michigan vs. Alabama Open Thread

Submitted by M-Wolverine on
OK, all the main afternoon games are decided. Show time. You know what you want to talk about now. Maybe they have a Liveblog set up under the new specs, but we all love an open thread, no? Feel free to talk about the other games of interest on commercial breaks. Let's Go Blue!

I actually feel the opposite. There is no pressure on us to win this game. By all logical thought, Alabama should win. Michigan should be able to play loose and put it all out there. I don't expect to win, but I think this game is going to be a lot of fun and hopefully we pull off the shocker. If not, there isn't much shame in losing to the reigning champs in what is essentially a road game. I'm more excited than anything else.

Right on man. Just because it being a new team and one game I won't mention, openers are usually a little more nerve inducing than the second game against a cupcake, but playing Alabama is a whole different beast than playing a directional school. I'm on pins and needles because no matter how unrealistic a win is I'm insanely biased that I think we should win even if we are playing a stacked team like Bama.

Brian created a twitter list that has the feed of @mgoblog, @justcoverblog, @mattrhinton, @Mvictors, @bry_mac (BiSB), @grantwahl, @hooverstreet, @aceanbender, and others...

I thought the idea originally was that it would be moderated and tweets would be retweeted when there was a special hastag used, but it looks like right now it's just the feed of guys on the list.  I haven't heard anything about it since the original post when brian was talking alternatives to the liveblog.

For those of you at home, rest assured, we are representing you properly. Tons of Michigan fans, "go blue" chants ringing out - we are ready. In the words of Fielding Yost, "who are they that they should beat a Michigan team?"

GO BLUE. BEAT. BAMA.

To the Big House to watch the game with my fellow Michigan students. I hope the atmosphere is great and the attendance is better. Just being in the Big House again will be worth it but I want to see that place rocking if we start rolling the Tide.

Expectations are low, but hopes are high! I just have a feeling about tonight, anyone else?

-That feeling could be gas; I don't know. I'm nowhere near drunk yet, so that's not it. Maybe I'm just so damn happy to see some Michigan F-ing FOOTBAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
