Michigan Tops Big Ten in Football Revenue
An article on PennLive using figures from the US Department of Education ranks the Big Ten football programs from 7-1-15 to 6-30-16 based on how much money they brought in (not including broadcast payouts). In no surprise, Michigan comes in first with revenue of $97.1 million and $60.6 million after expenses.
You're welcome, bitches.
It was worth having my parents take out a second mortgage so they could buy me expensive socks because WE'RE NUMBER ONE!
Is that avatar WD?
BOO!
Imagine, you're walking down a dark alley. You see this, me, staring into your soul. You know that I can sense that you don't mind 3:30 kickoffs.
WHICH ONE OF US BLINKS FIRST.
didn't realize that there was that much disparity between UM and the bottom half or so of the conference.
We do get a few people into the seat.
I've been to a few of the stadiums and they are small and not well attended.

One mans debt is another mans well leveraged finances.
So I'll see your tomahto and raise you a tomayto.
A whole Purdue's worth.
The article somehow credits Brandon and not Harbaugh/the Michigan fanbase/overall institution.
Thank you Jim Hackett & Jim Harbaugh!
about 30 minutes ago I commented with an obligatory 'Go Blue!'. That will infuriate the nittany faithful.
I congratulate U-M on their "B1G football (revenue) Championship!!!"
that's one of the best gifs I have ever seen. The body language as he looks at the scoreboard
Where's the gif of Harbaugh's face when PSU opted for a FG down 28 pts?
Michigan 49 - PSU 10
Bro.....come on. Michigan slaughtered PSU last year. You have no room for shit talking.
I'm a guest here, I get it. I wasn't trying to "shit talk."
Just a comment to RGard --- I don't think there's a single member of the "Nittany Faithful" (or any other school) who would be "infuriated" by Michigan generating the most revenue among B1G schools. That's been a thing for 50+ years now (U-M or OSU always being #1 in that metric). And unlikely to change in the future.
I won't derail things, so I'm out of this thread from here forward.
The Nittany Faithful think Penn Live is a Penn State Football blog. Anybody saying something remotely good about another school there is found infuriating by the Nittany Faithful.
You could say the same thing about MGoBlog.
Penn Live is analagous to MLive.
You kinda were talking shit.
Which is fine when you're winning. But not so much after last year's massacre. We're still finding bodies laying around the stadium.
And you do realize that nobody really cares about that B1G *championship* you *won* ?
49-10 you chump. You can talk about game-by-game improvement all you want. That does not mitigate losing by 5+ scores. Play that game again at the end of the year, Michigan still wins that game by double digits.
Oh hey look, Barkley just got stonewalled in the backfield again.
USC just picked off another McSorely pass.

It kind of sucks for them to be looking up at Rutgers and Maryland. (Although at least the Boilermakers are in the black - with a $1.8M profit. The Terps and Rutgers seemingly can't claim that.)
Also, ipecac sales will plummet when people see how much Penn State football is still making, notwithstanding the compelling evidence that JoePa and the PSU administration aided and abetted decades of child rape.
And we did it without ads in the stadium or selling spring game tickets.
ugly graph
All things he could have easily done if he wasn't busy tripping on his swinging dick.
Hard to trip over a micropenis...probably the AD shoes were too big and didn't fit right

Where are we getting an extra $11 million over Ohio State who has a similar seating capacity as us and sells in-stadium advertising?
Are they counting things like the EPL / La Liga soccer games in Michigan Stadium?
Guessing apparel deals & merchandise. Our net revenue is impressive indeed. We may have some hidden broadcast money in there as well.
Oops, you're right.
I forgot about WD.
If he was a Purdue fan, they'd be #1.
