I'm also heading down to Nasvhille. Would love to find a pro-Michigan bar for before the game.
It would be better than hanging around a bunch of Cincinnati fans.
Wouldn't mind being around the FSU and Texas girs though!

Bridgestone is right on Broadway and you can't go wrong with basically any place on Broadway. All places will likely have outdoor seating, open windows, and live music. I expet it to be very lively, since that's how it gets on a normal Friday night--I'm sure it will be hyped for the tourney.
I've gone to Wings-Preds games at Bridgestone and I would say that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. I'm interested to see who will get the "Cell Block" seats. Those seats are on the upper deck but it's the best cheering section, albeit for another team, that I've seen in American professional sports. Obviously it won't be the same for this environment, but if locals end up sitting there, it could be a lot of fun.

What did you pay for them? Also, are you sitting in that same section? I don't want to go alone but if I know I'll be sitting with other Michigan fans it might make it worth it.

that can get you seats for $68 for the Friday night game. The guy's name is Curry and his ticket line is 615-770-2328. Sunday tickets will be a little more. Rippy's bar across the street from the arena is always a fun place to get a beer. There are some chain restaurants along the road and a few local (touristy) bars that can be fun.
I might just take you up on that. Please email me at my tennessee address, which is my mgoblog user name @utk.edu
Hey, I'm a Memphis Tigers fan who bought tickets to Nashville hoping the Tigers would be playing there. I'm trying to sell my tickets. I've got a pair to All Sessions, Section 110 (Lower End), Row GG (7th Row from bottom). You interested? Shoot me an email at [email protected]
I have a ticket yet available.
Feel free to e-mail me if you wish: [email protected]
Do you have an email address to be contacted directly?

When you get in town, there's a ton of bars up and down and all around the Bridgestone Arena...
For game viewing during the break from the early session, I think I may go down to Bailey's since it'll have so many more TV's. Hooter's is on 2nd avenue, and there's about 20 other bars all within walking distance between Broadway and 2nd Avenue.
Frankly speaking though, Nashville is going to be a perfect site for the opening weekend. You'll find a ton of Michigan transplants down here due to the automotive industry. I think you'll find the whole area will be friendly to you...
Just don't bring up the 97 Heisman trophy... Or if you are in a spirited argument about something or another, feel free to use it... Nothing stirs these guys up more than the Woodson > Peyton Manning statement.

SO true. Nothing is more fun than showing up to class with my "Water Covers 2/3 of the Earth's Surface. Charles Woodson Covers the Rest" T-shirt.
I have a hook up for some great suite level tickets that cover 6 games (4 Friday, 2 sunday) and include drinks and food. They are in section 111 and are pricey but, like I said, include food and booze (the only place you can get booze inside the arena).
Let me know if interested.
Yes and yes. Email me @ [email protected]

I received this today regarding this weekend:
Nashville Alumni,
We are asking those of you interested in watching Michigan basketball this weekend to meet at Bailey’s located downtown Nashville at the corner of Broadway and 4th. A handful of you helpfully responded and informed me that Dooley’s has closed (I had not been aware) and was no longer was a viewing option.
Rob Wilson contacted Bailey’s and they will “hold” tables upstairs for ~30 people or so to watch the game. Thanks to Rob for his efforts today to locate a venue for Michigan alumni and fans!! Bailey’s will not reserve seating (we asked), and though we have a loyal UM Basketball following in Nashville, it is rather small and we did not feel comfortable guaranteeing a certain amount of business to an establishment, which was another alternative.
Additionally, the internet noise is that alums traveling to Nashville are looking for a local gathering. In addition to strongly encouraging Nashville alums to meet at Bailey’s (Let’s Go Nashville Maize n Blue!!) , please feel free to spread the word via the UM Alumni network. Ideally, it would be in our best interest to outnumber the other schools attending and make Bailey’s a Wolverine hub for this weekend. Rob is planning to arrive in the evening on Friday, and I am out of town on a family Spring Break vacation. Local alums who are planning to watch UM can help much by arriving in groups early and staking out a Michigan section.
Go Blue this weekend!!

Your going to have a great time down there. My advice is that unless you are a huge basketball fan, skip the second game and watch it on Broadway. I'd recommend watching it at the BrewHouse Brewery, The Beer Cellar or the place above the Beer Cellar. Then hit up Paradise Park Resort, Whiskey Saloon and The Stage (if the line isn't to bad) for some live music. If you want a local place take a cab (5 minutes) too Losers. Bars are open till 3 so have a great time and be safe.
I will be there 2 rows back! GO BLUE!
