Michigan 20-6...as close as 20-13. Either way that's more than the 3.5.

As atrocious as their Offense is, their D is very good.I think folks here are being a bit too confident- hope y'all are right.

They're basically Northwestern with better athletes on defense. Quick DL that gets off blocks.

If I had to make a comparison with a team we played that has a good defense and a not great, Bob offense....Northwestern is it.

So Ohio State but better? We didn't fare well against good defenses with elite athletes.

If we get 13 against Florida, we'll win.

I can easily see this being M00N pt 2 especially if Rudock is not 100%

FLOOM.

Yeah this game has defensive stalemate written all over it to me.

it will be interesting to see the previews our Dear Leader and the gang put together, especially their look at how Mr. Doug Nussmeier has done down there in Gainesville as compared with up here last season

It's a very good defense, but it's trending downward a bit recently and hasn't played a murderer's row of offenses either (by FEI)
- UT - 22
- Ole Miss - 10
- LSU - 17
- FSU - 27
- Alabama - 29
By comparison, UM played 4 top 50 offenses:
- BYU - 35
- Indiana - 25
- MSU - 23
- OSU - 26
And the OSU team UM saw was a tad bit better on offense than LSU is right now.
I think it'll be a slog, but this is still a team that can be gameplanned around well enough; it isn't one of those dominating defenses that just shuts down a part of your team.

I was very impressed with Florida's defense against Alabama. Their offense is pathetic, though. They're one of the worst running teams in the nation, so this is probably the best possible matchup for our weak run defense.

I dont get the notion our run defense is weak. Two read option teams killed us. Nobody else did. We stopped some good backs this year until we faced teams that ran zone read with a mobile QB that could run and throw.

Florida offense the last 5 games-
- 9 points vs Vanderbilt
- 24 vs 3-9 South Carolina
- 14 in regulation and 20 including OT against 3-9 FAU from C-USA
- 0 vs FSU at home
- 7 vs Alabama on desperation heave

Not sure about that - Pat Fitzgerald is 1-4 in bowl games.

He said they played well, not that they won. You can lose and still cover 7+ point spreads.

I thought that looked like a good bet too. Tennessee hasn't played a real team in months.

Well if he watched the Ohio State game, he would be excited to play Michigan.

No matter what they say, I think the Committee swapped Oklahoma and Michigan State between #3 and #4 to avoid a semi-final matchup between what they think are the two best teams in Alabama and Oklahoma. The betting community thinks Alabama and Oklahoma are the two top teams.

in the midst of a 3-3 Oregon start, including a 62-20 home pasting by Utah. If the Committee weighed that game carefully, they wouldn't treat Oregon as a Top 25 win.
December 6th, 2015 at 9:53 PM ^
They might also have been trying to avoid having a team that's not one of the top two seeds playing so close to home. It's only about a 3 hour drive from Norman to Dallas, and Alabama fans would be right to complain about a lower seed getting to play so close to home.

Looks like a great opportunity to grab 10 wins and momentum heading into next season.

So the so called "best" team in the Big Ten is the biggest underdog.
