Being from Illinois, I can count on one hand the number of people I know with whom I can talk Michigan sports with. This feeds the beast very well. I have a fevah, and the only prescription, is more Harbaugh

After he posted his recent series of "I demand that you pay attention to me!" pictures, I was reminded of that German term das Backpfeifengesicht, which roughly translates as "a face badly in need of a fist."

Not that I'm advocating that sort of thing, you understand. Nope, not me. Never.

However, I think I actually enjoy the some of the discussions on OT topics more than anything.  Snark is also great.

One of the best things ever is watching someone gets neg-bombed for an assinine comment.  It gets even better when they make additional comments trying to justify the original assinine comment, and proceed to get neg-bombed again multiple times.

I joined for the Harbaugh. I stayed for the (albeit virtual) camaraderie. Between work, marriage, fatherhood, the real world, etc it's just nice to relax a few times a day over wins, losses, and everything in between. Go Blue.

When I am on here I get away from the chores, the kids, the nagging and escape into the passion that is Michigan.  Even though it has been a tough year from a basketball and football standpoint, I can always come here to get some good opinions and insight from fellow posters and great writing from Brian.

Despite how junked up it can get, I really like the board.  I will often go here before I go to the front page.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly and comprehensively anything to do with Michigan sports makes it on here . . . recruiting, coaching, games, schedules, conferences, opponents, uniforms, Kate Upton . . . anything.

It's also a surprisingly good source of non-Michigan news that's of any magnitude.  I think I learned we got Bin Laden on this board.

That's why I'm very tolerant of redundant posts and "trivial" posts that many others bitch about.  I'd rather it get posted and let me decide for myself if I want to read the 4th thread of the day on Weber or some guy's kid's acceptance to the Engineering school.  I don't mind at all.

The people from all walks of life that post on here are amazing.  Where else do you have a Law Partner and a teenager on equal footing discussing an interesting topic that does not involve a criminal trial?

The quality of the board is one of the many things that set MGoBlog apart from other fan sites.

Hussein has a multitude of red flags, but the biggest issue that keeps coming up with him is pad level. One analyst actually said he might need to dig a hole in the ground to get his shoulders in position. Bin Laden is the prize in this class, I could take or leave Hussein. Also, he looks like he's 11.

The site scrathes my constant Wolverine Itch for news and information and makes me feel somewhat normal since I know there are actually people out there that think more about UM sports than I ever will.

And I can't wait to see the reaction from newer fans when we dominate at football again soon with the greatest f'ing coach in the word.

I'm old enough to remmeber when you could get very little information on Michigan sports.

You got a game bradcast here and there, a news/SportsCenter highlight for 30 seconds, and a paragraph in the newspaper.

And that was it.  Deafening silence until the next game.

If you got an article in Sports Illustrated, you were thrilled and would read it three times.

I'm still in awe of the concept of Michigan sports saturation . . . that there is literally too much info to absorb and you reach a point where you just walk away from it.

If I miss a few days looking at MGoBlog, I can't even try to catch up.  There's just too much good information.  I never forget what a Michigan fan's blessing that is.

The other posters.  Over the years I feel like many of the people here are actual (albiet somewhat invisable) friends.  When I've had a chance to meet them in person it's like finally connecting with a long-lost relative and not a total stranger.

After a while you get to know the personalities of the people here and even though there are some people you like more than others we're all basically family.

As a coach, this site is awesome at breaking things down from many different perspectives, which is something I value very much. On top of the x's and o's I enjoy the in depth breakdown of recruits, which always offers multiple sources / breakdowns. I also enjoy the conversation and brotherhood that exists here.

I don't have enough points to start a post but I just left the Garth Brooks concert and saw Jim Harbaugh and his wife, Jay Harbaugh, John Baxter and the recruiting coordinator from Miami. They introduced the key board player from Ann Arbor and Harbaugh went nuts. Jim and his wife looked like they were having a blast. Good to see Detroit put on a great show

Red Wings just beat the Stars in Dallas, as Kronwall scores less than a minute into overtime!!!

Final score 7-6, as Pavel led the way with 4 points.
