Merry Christmas - Time to air your grievances

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone.

It's time to air you grievances on this Christmas Eve 2018.  What have you got?

I'm sick of people complaining about roundabouts. They're simple, and people who brake in them, don't know how to enter, or change lanes in the middle of a two lane roundabout are friggin idiots.

I'm really tired of the anxiety I feel every day. That, and having to be entirely exhausted to sleep. That fight or flight instinct that arises out of nowhere, at least a couple times a day, is really beating me up lately. I'm a pretty logical guy, so it sucks having irrational thoughts and feelings. It's like an internal war. So, my grievance: fuck mental illness.

Anyway, besides that, my family is in good health, we have just about everything I didn't have as a kid, and Michigan is doing relatively well to great in all sports. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.

I'm sick of the major New Years Day bowls not being played on New Years Day. There should be no exceptions to this rule unless NY's is on an NFL Sunday in a particular year.

I’m tired of people calling our NY6 bowl game meaningless.  It’s an insult to the players and staff.

It’s not meaningless to the players busting their asses in practice.  It’s not meaningless to the seniors, or the players from Georgia or Alabama who get a chance to play in front of their family and friends.

Its especially meaningful for Eli Hummer, who is a 12 year old patient at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta who has had multiple open heart surgeries. He is a huge Michigan fan and will be attending the Peach Bowl with his family.

I think calling this game meaningless is just a way to make the players sitting out feel less guilty.  They should feel guilty.  I understand the decision, but any good teammate should feel guilty about leaving their team before the season is over.

Yep! Thr NFL is so fucking stubborn with their love affair of Sunday football. Not only should the super bowl be on Saturday, but so should NCAA basketball and football title games, but no, the idiots running the NCAA deem it necessary to have them on a fucking MONDAY night. That is ridiculous.

I’m a little upset that “ One Shining Moment “ even exists and that some programming wank over twenty years ago thought it was a fabulous tune that needed to be played as confetti rains. Also the dude who wrote it makes money off of it and lives a mile away and I had to exist in the same space as him at a party and I couldn’t tell him his stupid song makes me nauseated and therefore I go to bed before ever seeing the CBS tournament highlights.

Dearest Notre Dame loving inlaws:

Buying for me is rather easy. Just get something MICHIGAN or GO BLUE! on it and I will be

happy, I say.

Let me now refine my parameters: I wear men's XL, not lady's L. Also, NO SEQUINS. I do not care if the sequins spell out GO BLUE! NO SEQUINS.

You don’t tell a blind person with a white cane “pardon me.”  If I have to stand somewhere you can walk around me. If you repeat “pardon me” to me you will get told to move on. If I’m standing somewhere it is because a sighted person left me there for a reason.

I’m really fucking tired of babysitting my own parents when they visit. If I go to the bathroom, relax. I’ll be back. Dad, Get the fuck out of the kitchen when I’m cooking. I don’t know how many fucking times, PER YEAR I have to tell you. Get the fuck out. And, Dad, stop making inappropriate racist and objectifying comments in front of your 15 year old granddaughters. They hear it and are judging your character. Mother (in law), stop being so passive aggressive, and find a way to do something for yourself.

I’m sick of everyone wanting a new football coach when shit goes sideways. Winning is hard; and winning every goddamn game is hard, and sometimes things suck. I don’t want to start over.

I don’t like shitty beer. I’m not getting fat on bad beer.

Logged in to upvote you here MGoBrewMom.  Your last sentence, in particular, cuts right to the chase.  I too am sick and tired of the idea that somewhere out there is "the guy" who will bring Michigan victories over OSU.  If Harbaugh weren't our coach, I get the feeling that there would be multiple posts every day in which posters would be calling, "Hire Harbaugh!"

I am not saying he's perfect, but for the love of Yost do we have to be so polarized as a fanbase?  Asking for people to have some perspective is NOT saying, "Harbaugh is God and can do no wrong."  It's simply saying that Michigan was teetering on the edge of CFB irrelevancy before Harbaugh.  I'd add to your apt statement about the difficulty of winning with, "beating OSU is hard, and very few teams do it."

Michigan is so significantly better off than where it was this time 4 years ago it's almost staggering.  Yet, we still have people who what to roll the dice and start all over because the task isn't accomplished yet.  I'll never understand that.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This is such a hyperbolic take.

People wanted Drevno shit canned for at least a season and all we ever heard was "trust Harbaugh". When Drevno finally got shit canned he was replaced by a much much much better Warinner and the results on the field showed that Drevno, indeed, sucked. OL recruiting picked up too because Drevno sucked at that as well.

Now it's the same story with Pep. Nobody is saying to fire Harbaugh. A lot of people are saying that Pep sucks and that HE should be fired. Pep is the Drevno of Passing Game Coordinators. He's a shitty recruiter who doesn't seem to bring anything special to the table.

Could you imagine this team with a Warinner-level upgrade at Passing Game Coordinator? That's what people are talking about, not "fire Harbaugh". And no, Pep isn't just doing what Harbaugh tells him to, just as Drevno's suckage wasn't caused by Harbaugh telling him to suck.

And I’m sick to all goddamn hell with hearing “nobody wants Harbaugh fired”. That’s exactly what I’m talking about. YES THEY DO!! Harbaugh is making the adjustments...and the one’s you’re talking about. I’m fine with that. I don’t want Harbaugh fired, and the people who want that are dumb.

If Harbaugh doesn’t do the adjusting/replacing fast enough, to fucking bad. He’s in charge, and will do what he needs to. I don’t want a knee jerking coach. He figures it out and handles it. So, my take is really more about the dumbasses who think Harbaugh should be fired. I know they’re out there—they exist in my family. Especially the people who don’t even follow the team that closely.
