Their best player dropped 20 in a half. Our best hasn't played in ten minutes. And we're up four. I'll take it.
I think that's a key point. Unless someone else steps up for them in the second half, or Hardaway chokes, we're in really good shape heading into the half. And Darius is having a great game himself: 6-6-4... is it too early to be talking triple-double?
Also, +6 on the boards. I we keep that up, I'll be pleasantly surprised!

We are in the lead after horrible 3pt shooting, THJr with 2 pts and 10 fouls. If we get it together and Harris cools off a tad this could end nicely.

Also, glad we're attacking now, AND got out of the half in such great shape. Having Morgan and Hardaway back and better-rested than anybody else on the court can only make the second half even more awesome.

I haven't seen 1-3-1yet, but I'm streaming and quality isn't so good. Will ESPN talk about the surprise strategy of not playing 1-3-1?
Pretty sure Vogrich's steal and layup came off the 1-3-1.
We did it for like 3 possessions. twice it was effective, then they passed it inside and got a dunk.
The only time the 1-3-1 didn't work is when Michigan fouled the high post. There have also been a few times Michigan has played a 2-3. After seeing the man struggle for a bit with Harris, JB is really mixing up the D and throwing a lot out there, and it's working.
We played 1-3-1 twice. The first time Vogrich intercepted a pass and got an easy fastbreak layup and the other time Tennessee dribble drived and passed out for a 3 and missed. The dunk they had came from the 2-3 zone. We need to show more 1-3-1. Their 3 point shooting that has been well documented throughout the week is poor and we need to take advantage of that.

I hate Pearl, but you gotta give the devil his due. He is milking this Harris-Novak matchup for everything it is worth. Time after time in the Big Ten this year, I thought to myself regarding the opposing coach "I'm glad you're not, but why wouldn't you feed it to your best big every possession?" That we are winning it a tribute to Beilein's craftiness.
We really need Morgan to try to get Harris in foul trouble second half.
Essentially did this for 30 min that for some unexplained reason stopped and let McCamey dribble around and put up a terrible shot for the last 10 min of the game.
This Harris kid looks like a one and done player. He'll be in the NBA next season.
A lot of bigs look like that at times against a skinny 6'4" white kid from Indiana.
Has him going late 1st round to the Bulls.
We'll see. I'm not saying I'm not impressed with Harris, he's a heckuva player. But there are always 50 kids evaluated as "mid-to-late first round" talent. (And more if you let the agents do the evaluating.)
P.S. - isn't that the same site that said they expected Morris to leave after this year?

Two quick fouls in first six minutes. Both were touchy fouls on the perimeter, just not being smart.
Two quick fouls, I think both very unphysical and far away from the basket, called when Vols ran by then fell over - in other words, ticky-tack as hell OR due to athletic disadvantage, depending whom you ask.
