MBB v. W. Illinois; Open Thread & Stream Link

Submitted by MGoChippewa on

The Wolverines take their 2-0 record into a game with Western Illinois tonight, tipping off at 8:30 in the newly renovated Crisler Arena.  This is Michigan's last warmup before a huge matchup against Memphis in the Maui Invitational on Monday.  Kenpom has no respect for WIU, ranking them 332nd among 345 Div 1 basketball programs.  The game is streaming on  espn3.com but for those who don't qualify for their coverage, here's a link to the action....

EDIT

The non-ESPN stream link is not working tonight. Will update if I find a viable link.

DOUBLE EDIT

Not having any luck finding a link, best I can do for you is provide free audio:

Thanks to the OP for this thread - love having links listed and updated.  Living overseas I'm always struggling to find working links (firstrowsports.com doesn't work in Korea either - double difficult).

Are we missing a lot of Free Throws or is it me?

I've never streamed on ESPN3 but why are there TV timeouts for a game that's not really on TV?  Or does ESPN3.com count as TV?

Shooting really, really well. Not a lot you can do about it. The turnovers are all generated, and they're getting okay, but not GREAT looks. If they just hit everything they throw up, you can't do a lot.

Based on the D, I think M is already preparing for Memphis.

Announcers are right.  We need to take it inside.  Get an advantage by getting the 4 foul guys out of the game.  Got a break on the D end getting the first one out of the game

So frustrating not being able to watch this game, Western Illinois is %54 from 3... but there's not much you can do about that, hopefully WIU cools down the last few minutes and we should be ok

...From someone who can see the game, does the UM Defense look that bad, or they just throwing up prayers that go in??
