5-0 early on. Livers in some pain. I hope that's not a groin issue.

Honestly Simpson is what he always has been.  Nice upside.  Plus energy.  Good passer.  Very limited offensively.  Too many unforced errors/mental breakdowns.  That is him.

Livers looked like a strained groin.

Simpson turns the ball over SO much as an upperclassman because he's WAAAY too confident in his ability and doesn't just play within the offense anymore.

Nunez getting early time because Johns is sick and now we're going with the twin towers lineup of Teske and Castleton at the same time. Very interesting.

These announcers are idiots.

Clearly Brooks was trying to come out the game. He was intentionally fouling, then he runs over towards the bench and asks to come out. And they say Howard calls a timeout because he isn't happy.

Really hope livers doesn’t have a hernia but I’m guessing he’s out for at least a few weeks. A groin is the sort of thing than linger and ruin a season, have to get it all the way healthy

Group question:

Did you think the hiring of Juwan would be validated this quickly?  (Considering what Settles said about being ahead of schedule.  Do you agree with that?)

I thought it was a great hire, expected an impact in recruiting, but I didn't think it would all look this coherent this fast and thought recruiting would take a cycle.

I've been on board with the hire from the moment it was announced. Of all the former players we've seen, he was the one who seemed most suited to this side of the game. Add in a hugely successful NBA career, and I think it was a great move.

Validated by that alone. However, success means winning during the grind of the conference season. Can he take a team through all the ups and downs of the schedule? I'm very optimistic, but we've been spoiled for a long time when it comes to basketball.

As for the recruiting, he brings instant relevance for top prospects. Hopefully, not like the disaster in Memphis. That much is up to the administration as well, understanding that some top players (not all) will require some inducement we simply don't want. Can he hone in on good prospects the services don't already know about? There's a lot to this job.
