That is all.

he didn't ask a yes or no question.

He didn't claim it was correct or "made sense".

Refer to the thread title if my comment doesn't make sense to you

Make a mock up and then I'll judge. Couldn't be too bad could it?
September 20th, 2011 at 2:15 PM ^
Our shoes could haz wings too?
September 20th, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
if done right that could look pretty sweet.
EDIT: Or maize Wolverine teeth at the bottom front edge of an all blue shoe?

I make them wear all white shoes and socks in NCAA Football every now and then. For some reason I always suck when I do, so maybe that's a sign.
September 20th, 2011 at 2:17 PM ^
I hate all the white on our cleats. I'll give you the three stripes, adidas, but that's it. All black, all bidness.
September 20th, 2011 at 2:17 PM ^
Bad idea.
September 20th, 2011 at 2:53 PM ^
How about everyone shave their heads, wear baggy pants and wear black socks. Will that make the black cleats more acceptable???? Oh my bad...wrong sport..
September 20th, 2011 at 2:20 PM ^
it could be hard. they don't all wear the same model cleats, like they do jerseys.
September 20th, 2011 at 2:21 PM ^
Like it. I'm with you.

As a side note, I would love to see Denard in the Nike Mercurial Vapor cleats. Although, they don't have velcro to help keep them on his feet . . . Regardless, it won't be happening anytime soon anyway.
September 20th, 2011 at 2:52 PM ^
I think I'd have to see them.
September 20th, 2011 at 3:14 PM ^
Heres what a maize and blue adidas cleat could look like, this is a soccer cleat but whatever its pretty close to football.
September 20th, 2011 at 3:25 PM ^
I want!
September 20th, 2011 at 3:50 PM ^
That prototype has shoelaces and no velcro.
September 20th, 2011 at 3:33 PM ^
Except we have to keep black shoes and socks for basketball, obviously.
September 20th, 2011 at 8:53 PM ^
Our basketball team has worn maize shoes with blue stripes...
I didn't even want to bring that into the football equation for fear of getting negged to high hell. Plus, while I said I didn't have an opinion on blue shoes and maize stripes...I do on the reverse. NO!
We also have done blue shoes and maize stripes for basketball. See them below.

Aren't those Adidas shoes? Why does the photo say "Nike air max"?
September 20th, 2011 at 5:19 PM ^
Black shoes rule. I'm old enough to remember some time in the late 70s or maybe early 80s when OSU went to red shoes. Their only useful purpose was to induce vomiting if you had ingested poison. Not that blue shoes would look that horrid, but you can't go wrong with classic black.
September 20th, 2011 at 8:57 PM ^
I'd like to see blue shoes with yellow stripes...
BUT!!!
- Not that moonshoe shit the basketball teams wore.
- Nothing with patent leather or that is shiny
- Nothing that is a gimmick, like those laces
- It would have to match PERFECTLY...that soccer cleat is too light. When I look at that picture of Denard, black doesn't seem to match with blue socks. But if you get that shade of blue cleat, and put some maize in it...I'll take it!

These days, footwear is bright, bold, and beautiful. Wild colorways and styles are in. I would actually like to see what an all Maize shoe with Blue stripes would look like. And if they really wanted to go all out. It would be nice to see them try to encorporate the Wing in there somehow. But that may not look too good.

Just my opinion, but I'd edit that to read "these days footwear is bright, bold, and monstrously ugly." I haven't been able to find a non-hideous basketball sneaker in ages.
