Quick question. Does Devin even have the option to audible at the line? And I'm not being sarcastic. Because you think that the quarterback should have the best read of what's going on out there. I'd hope that he would have the quarterback savvy to realize that they are stacking 8 in the box on first down. Why not check to playaction or just a straight pass. Do you think he actually has the option or do you think the coaches have told him to run exactly what they tell him and don't change it?

Even if he did though it is hard to have time to actually audible, when you spend so much time in the huddle and have less than 10 seconds when you get to the line.

I think the idea is to play bend but don't break defense. Usually that is done to slow the opposing offense down by making them drive the entire length of the field rather than giving up big plays. However, I think its use this year is to keep Borges offense off the field for as long as possible.
