Los Angeles Viewing Options

I am tired of watching the Game at my house.  Where do Michigan fans gather these days to watch near the Hollywood area?

So, it’ll be 9am when they kickoff.  Sharkeez on the Hermosa pier used to do $5 pitchers of screwdrivers or bloody marys and a pretty decent breakfast back in 2001 when I lived there.  You should hit it up if you like cheap drinks and the smell of stale beer.

I was here for The Game in 2011, and it was a great time. They had a box of OSU clothing they laid out as a foot wipes for when you walked in, needless to say I haven't had cleaner shoes or a clearer throat since that day. However, I think it was actually next-door to sharkeez, which is now a salad place. Better to call but if they do UM tailgate, then I definitely recommend it.

The M Alumni website has the Parlor on Melrose, and Qs on Wilshire as the watch spots. I believe (but can't be certain) that I watched a number of games in '06 at Qs and there was a great Michigan fan showing, as it was an Alumni Club bar back then too. (It has been several iterations over the years, but none as good as Gotham Hall on the Promenade which, due to the location or the times or both, always had a swelling of Michigan fans even during the slog that was '05.)

Q's is far better.  Parlor is a shared game watch bar - there will be a few other schools hosting their game watch at that bar.  Q's is 100% Michigan and is a much bigger bar.  Personal issue with Parlor is that it's really expensive and Q's is more bar-like pricing.

I'll be at Q's tomorrow.

Parlor is the closest to you.  I enjoyed going there 3 years ago for a game.  Get there early.

I have gone to Q's twice and left before gametime each time.  The tables are set up in a horrible configuation and only like 10 seats have good views of the screens head-on.  Those are always filled before I get there 35 minutes before kick.  It's been frustrating.
