So hopefully that doesn't become a big deal but a question for those who played...how does the umpire overrule the 1st base official who was in a better position to make the call?

It's beating the loudest of the loudmouths from the SEC, Alabama.  I so despise Alabama.  I have so many fair weather Alabama fans on my facebook wall and all I hear is how freaking good they are.  As that picture says, they can't spell GED by by Gawd they have a bunch of football titles!

Ball was dead on the line. I'd send an umpire the fuck home after the final out for a call like that. Ump was RIGHT THERE looking at the damn thing. 

It is mindboggling to me how bad the umps are in college softball. 

This is not an exaggeration: the quality of umpiring in MY FUCKING BEER LEAGUE SOFTBALL LEAGUE is way, way better than what you've got here. How is this fucking possible?
