Leon McQuay (likely) to visit Michigan again

Newly minted five-star DB Leon McQuay tells me when he's likely to visit Ann Arbor again: bit.ly/PrCdVt

The last two spots seem to be being held for a combination of Treadwell and either Green and McQuay, which would give us two more 5-star players (assuming Treadwell get's the bump, as he is currently the highest ranked four star player) to add to our already spectacular 2013 class.

Personally, I'll be happy if one of the three is part of the class.  That said I doubt we get any of them.  Last two spots will probably go towards the Dennis Norfleet/Willie Henry/Drake Johnson "we really like your Senior film" memorial scholarship awards and I am more than happy with that as I think grabbing a couple of sleepers/late risers is just good business anyway.

"Doubt" he says. Treadwell has consistently claimed Michigan as his #1 and has yet to change his stance on that matter, and it seems the only competition we have for Green is Auburn (also must note that Dawson has tweeted consistently that he thinks Green is coming to Michigan, most recent being this weekend).  AND Mcquay, the only dude who doesn't have Michigan is his top three (who did before we sort of told him we were full at the moment), well... his top 3 is currently USC (presumably full at 18), Vandy (5 DB commits), and FSU (the team who replaced Michigan).  I think that of the three, McQuay is the least likely to commit, but I still think there's a pretty good shot at that one, especially since he is planning on an official to Michigan per Tremendous today.

That being said, I agree with everything else.

I was attempting to build up some confidence in the guy... but then Mr. "Smarty-pants" TrueBlue had to run his yapper. Thanks! 'Preciatecha!

Hoke needs to dangle the number 2 jersey in front of him again, and advise him that he is a bigger, stronger, faster, and more versatile version of Woodson.  In fact, maybe Woodson can be on campus that day to tell him that himself.

I'd be happy with McQuay instead of Green. We already have two running backs in this class, and only one safety. Also, if it looks like RB is thin and safety is too full, Dymonte can move to RB no prob. Adding a 5 star safety would make our defense dominant in a few years, to where we'd hardly need a running back.

I don't ever see Dymonte playing RB in college, at least not on a regular basis; He's just too tall and lanky, doesn't have the prototypical RB physique, plus he has a defensive mentality. I think his meal ticket is on defense. He has a chance to be a great safety at M.

I know Dymonte is an excellent HS running back, but, to be frank, He ain't Hoke's type at RB.

Charles Woodson was a phenomenal RB in HS, but like Dymonte Thomas, his heart was on defense, also his body type wasn't built for the rigors of the RB position. I'm not saying Charles or Dymonte couldn't play college RB, but long term, they're both better served on D.

Yes, I definitely meant Dymonte Thomas when I said "Dymonte." Should have been more clear, I suppose. Although he could be a very good safety, I think he could be a great RB as well, and he's not that much smaller than a prototypical Hoke RB (if he was, he'd be too small for safety as well). I expect DT to be 205 to 210 when he sees the field for us.

is a good back. He can definitely succeed on the college level. He fits Hoke's standards too. He's also a consistant 4 star I think. Greens just a better than him, but I'd be fine if we brought in LT and McQuay and had DeVeon be the future RB. Still think the coaches should make Shallman a FB, especially if we get Green.
