Latest on David Reese
Rivals is reporting that David Reese and his Dad sat down with Harbaugh today at Schembechler Hall and he will play linebacker at Michigan. They are trying to work thru some small issues so that Reese will be able to enroll in January at Michigan. His Dad put the chances his son enrolls at Michigan at 99.9%.
I am unable to evaluate film on football players (a man must know his limitations), but I would say a solid in-state middle LB is a plus!
alum, Harbaugh will give the kid a chance, I bet next season is another big recruiting season of LB's, if he doesn't work out, he'll put him in a spot that will work out.
He seems to have decent offers in Pittsburgh and Louisville. Bobby Petrino is a great offensive coach even if he is a bit of a scumbag. Not a guy with offers from Ohio State, PSU, or Alabama but a good under the radar guy.
Eh, he's got a lot of offers and has had interest from enough programs that I don't think he's 'under the radar'. I think he's probably been evaluated pretty accurately and is a known entity at this point.

What if it is at the expense of a recruit like Dontavious Jackson or Jonathan Jones?
This isn't going to change how they recruit other LBs. Reese was already in the class. They aren't going to target another FB so it's not a huge deal.
Wasn't this from the member board?
Yep. Ripped straight from the premium board.

It was reported by Brando Brown. He is on staff. The staff will post to the board with their articles or tidbits often and comment on posts.
Brandon Brown is on the staff of The Wolverine, not MGoBlog. And he rarely posts on this website anymore. Regardless, if you're going to post every tidbit from a premium message board, you should at least provide a link.
I never said he was a MGoBlog staffer. My original message stated that it was reported by Rivals. It was not on the premium board, but can be viewed on the premium board as he posted there as well. You would need membership to The Wolverine to view the article, that's why I did not post the link. Didn't know that was an issue.
From the MGoBoard FAQ:
Can I repeat premium information?
To a limited extent. More details are here. Briefly: don't hit CTRL+C, and don't repeat every last detail.
I do like his film at LB more than Hardings. Let him start at LB. If he can't see the field there he might be willing to switch. If he can see the field there, that means he was a good pickup.

Never stops driving his legs. I love that about him.
as well.
His film did anyway, supposedly he's really worked hard over the summer and improved his speed and footwork, but that's always easier said and done in camps than it is on gameday.
Either way, I think he's a solid piece of the class. I like him more as a FB, but as an in-state kid that has potential to turn into a good LB on top of that, I think he's a good take and am glad he looks like he'll be headed to Michigan.
Ok that seems like a more bullish take than you had a few months ago so good to hear.
