Keys to Homecoming Victory

Submitted by NelzQ on

Greetings fellow Michigan faithful.

I'm thinking the keys to winning Saturday are framed with very little room for error.

Northwestern is a very dangerous team. They have confidence, solid leadership, very good personnel; and what stands out the most to me is that they're being somewhat disrespected by all the media pundits picking Michigan by a comfortable margin. I think this team is going to come into the big house with a big chip on their shoulder and throwing haymakers.

Here are my keys to victory:

1. Come to knock them out. Michigan has to match blow for blow early and throw their own knockout punches. Finishing this team early is the ideal outcome.

2. Efficiency. Every opportunity will need to be seized.

3. Focus. Michigan has to have complete focus on each down. Receivers need to see the ball into their hands and the DBs must catch the INT balls thrown their way.

4. The next step for the defense is to score the ball. Pick six, safety.

What do you guys think are the keys?

Go Blue!

The one that I most agree with is number one. Michigan came out punching and took BYU by surprise. If we do that tomorrow, we win 21-0 with Wilton taking snaps in the 4th quarter.

It's simple Rudock has to take care of the ball. Defense has to get pressure on the QB early and often and DBs has to catch the INTs when its coming there way. Also no stupid penalties on both sides of the ball.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I just don't see a team like northwestern coming into the big house and winning this game. I think they will be lucky to kick 2 field goals and Michigan wins by double digits. This defense for Michigan is just too nasty to allow northwestern to march up and down the field.

Turnovers will be the key for me. I think it will be a low scoring defensive game so it wil be imperative that we protect the ball and hopefully force them into a few turonvers.
