This is exhausting
January 27th, 2022 at 11:32 PM ^
Huh? He was basically gone before the first signing day, and hasn't been considered a commit since early December.
Which leads me to believe you don't follow recruiting closely.
Which is perfectly fine.
But then it doesn't make sense how something could be "exhausting" that you don't follow closely.
So either you knew he was gone almost 2 months ago...or you hadn't been paying attention and thus can't be tired about something you're not following.
I'm exhausted from trying to figure out how you could be exhausted by this news.

I think SammyBlue is a time traveler, he went ahead in time to read your reply, which exhausted him.
Also, might be the longest reply to a 3 word post in the history of this board.

I can make it longer, but I'm too exhausted.

Running behind a car is exhausting, but running in front of a car is tiring . . . You cant win!

Arizona is a bit of a surprise (I had thought Oklahoma or Florida), but he admitted at the Polynesian Bowl that his contact with Michigan had dried up recently.
January 27th, 2022 at 11:37 PM ^
Tyler Martin also ended up at Arizona...wonder if that's Harbaugh reaching out to Fisch or just a coincidence. Anthony Solomon also transfered there.
There LB room is about to be all former Michigan guys.
January 28th, 2022 at 3:55 AM ^
pretty sure Martin was following Don Brown to AZ.
January 28th, 2022 at 12:40 PM ^
I thought so too, until he didn't follow Brown back home to UMass.
January 28th, 2022 at 4:21 PM ^
Pretty sure a kid with a power 5 opportunity isn’t going to follow a coach to UMass. He absolutely was following Brown to Arizona.
January 27th, 2022 at 11:38 PM ^
One could argue that it should not be a surprise to lose him.

Argue exhaustively ad infinitum.

I'm exhausted from all the arguing on this board...

You're correct. We should "NOT" be surprised. I hate that we cannot edit a post, because I also got McDonald wrong. ?♂️
January 28th, 2022 at 12:35 AM ^
Any remaining high-level recruits, especially on the defensive side of the ball, would be hard to pull. Harbaugh is pretty openly testing the NFL waters, and Michigan just lost their DC.
January 28th, 2022 at 12:45 AM ^
There's also the fact that we're full on defense for the '22 class and haven't been recruiting anyone on that side of the ball since early December.
But yeah, this is because of Harbaugh and Macdonald.
We've only been looking at power RBs and OTs since the first signing day. Not sure where some of you all have been.
This isn't a surprise and has nothing to do with the Harbaugh contract situation.

Washing my hair. Doing missionary work in Ukraine. But mostly on hold on the phone with State Farm...
January 28th, 2022 at 9:45 AM ^
I actually have friends who are missionaries in Ukraine. It's not an easy time at the moment.
January 28th, 2022 at 11:17 AM ^
That's probably an understatement. It's a pretty intense situation. I'm just hoping that cooler heads prevail on both sides.
January 28th, 2022 at 12:15 PM ^
I performed missionary in Ukraine once..... she was something else..... I'll always have the memory.
January 28th, 2022 at 9:12 PM ^
So: any remaining high-level recruits, whatever the position, should be hard to pull. Not sure how instability with a head coach couldn't be a factor.
I thought Michigan was still looking trying to land Henry but apparently not.
January 28th, 2022 at 1:27 AM ^
Given that he grew up in LA I’m surprised that he’s not going to USC.
January 28th, 2022 at 2:13 AM ^
As I recall, he was looking for a college town experience.
January 28th, 2022 at 3:26 AM ^
Tucson aint it.
January 28th, 2022 at 5:06 AM ^
I seem to remember that he has had somewhat of a troubled upbringing and the biggest reason for coming to Michigan was to be mentored by Courtney Morgan.
For someone with a troubled upbringing, USC may not be the best place to be based on the location of the campus.
January 28th, 2022 at 8:53 AM ^
Malik McDowell says hi from Broward County lockup.
January 28th, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
I’m not sure what McDowell has to do with anything here?
USC is located in a pretty rough neighborhood. The campus itself is gorgeous, but you don’t have to go far to find trouble. Pretty easy for someone to get into trouble when you don’t have to go far to find it.
Doesnt mean you can’t get in trouble elsewhere, like McDowell, but you’re increasing those odds by putting the player in an environment where trouble is easier to find.
January 28th, 2022 at 10:35 AM ^
So much for Courtney Morgan's pull.
January 28th, 2022 at 8:15 AM ^
Is Conerly the only big target left on Michigan's board for 2022? I imagine that most of the rest of the class, if not all of it, is settled and most of the attention is focused on 2023.
January 28th, 2022 at 8:21 AM ^
Yup, unless something unforeseen happens. After Early Signing Day the staff focused on transfer Oluwatimi and Conerly.
January 28th, 2022 at 8:31 AM ^
RB Andrew Paul has received quite a bit of interest as well.
January 28th, 2022 at 11:53 AM ^
Pretty darn good offer list for a three star kid in the ~600s range. Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, ND, Auburn, just to name a few. Wonder if he's a late bloomer, skipped the camp circuit, missed a season, etc.
January 28th, 2022 at 4:29 PM ^
IIRC, he didn’t camp a ton but had an absolute MONSTER senior season. Offers didn’t start rolling in until late in his senior year: MSU and Auburn in November, Michigan in December; Washington, Clemson, Notre Dame, Oregon and Georgia all in January.

Yeah, not a big surprise when the two guys who recruited you aren't there that you'll go somewhere else. Good luck to him.
