His thoughts along with every other 49er fan I've read who commented on the press conference site last night. York has officially joined the Jerry Jones/Al Davis club.

"Tim K is suddenly sympathetic to Harbaugh? You gotta be crazy to believe anything he writes. All season long as well as last year he did nothing but bash the coaching staff and players. NEVER did he write a column that was supportive or had content that included the real issues related to the TEAM. Some say Kap is the real problem. Look at your OC. He has no idea how to continue the flow of a game. Proved it in the SB and divisional playoffs. Coach will be fine in Michigan, where he belongs. Niners move on and other team trolls get a life."

Kawakami is no doubt a douche troll, but all the same it'd be really nice if U-M fans stopped tweeting racism at him.  Yes it's only a handful, but a handful of a large fanbase is still a lot of people and it's been kinda embarrassing to see U-M fans Buckeying it up like that.

Not sure if this is true, but.....

One of the prouder moments in my more recent life was that block. Yeah, I had to troll the man and the holes in the story, but it was worth it.

This stuck out to me:

This happened because owner Jed York and general manager Trent Baalke decided they could and would do better than Harbaugh and that the franchise would benefit from calmer times.

I don't see how you can benefit from not having someone whose presence electrifies the room, partially because he's nuts but mostly because he is that good a motivator and developer. It also seems to me that the 49ers managements simply could not put politics on the backburner and bask in the success - even if they were not personally fans of Jim Harbaugh and his highly animated self, they could have given him "creative freedom", if you will. Doesn't seem to happen much in the NFL though.
