Kalil branham decommits
Wow, great time to decommit
Hoke cooled on him
Coaches lighten up on him? His crystal ball is saying Kentucky now.
WR is going to be interesting if Black, DPJ and Collins all leave after this year.
His recruiter was Al Washington, he’s prolly gonna end up at OSU
Is he an OSU level recruit?
Was Benedict Mattison an OSU level DC?

Compared to last year, anyone is an OSU-level DC
Son of a duplicate post.
Is he fast enough to run by Pony's "solve problems wth aggression" coverages?
If so, then yes.

Is he an OSU level recruit?
He does not seem to be the Ohio St type. And there is no record I can find of an offer to him from Ohio St.
I think he's going to Kentucky.
Michigan will be fine without him.
There isn’t going to be room for him at OSU, they are not showing interest in him.
Prolly not, and I’m born shre about class sizes for them or anything like that, but Ryan Day sure likes to stick it to Michigan doesn’t he?
Yea that part took everyone by surprise... For WR targets they are all in in Flemning and Jarrett and I don’t think he’s even in the second tier of targets. He is a stud WR but it doesn’t sound like this was his choice. I’m a little surprised but there has to be something they didn’t like since they seemingly processed him before the class was full.

New OC, new preferences for player skills. It's the cost of transition.
Interesting is one way to put it.
They need to sign some studs this year.
here’s to hoping that this means they are in on some great receivers in the 2020 class. Wish kalil the best. He looks like he will be a good one.
Should be really exciting to find out which top 100 receivers Michigan will finish 2nd for
Think this will depend a lot on how the offense looks this year. If the team gets the full Gattising and looks like a great place to play, it'll be a lot easier to recruit top receivers.
See: State, Penn.
Answer: where a sizeable # of Staee basketball players belong.
You mean to tell me the nation’s best don’t want to come here and rack up 450 yds and 2 TDs per season.
GTFO
kid had nice jugs, will be missed.
I enjoy some good jugs … but I don’t know about this.
The first thing I thought about when I saw the thread title was that we are losing those jugs.
He is the last one I would expect this from. He was so high on Michigan. I think he even said it was his & his grandpa’s dream that he would play for Michigan.
"Michigan Football: winnning over grandpas and losing recruits since 1969"
I have a feeling he'll commit to a team that shows interest in his brother.
his brother is signed to emu, i believe
Seeing as his brother is a 2019 recruit who signed with Eastern Michigan, that seems unlikely.
His brother is very strong. But he's not really a great prospect.
I am wondering what happened behind the scenes we don't know. I thought Jim Harbaugh said a month or so ago he was already planning to get Kalil Branham into games as a freshman.
Not surprising and given the recent twitter activity of some of the other commits it won't be the last, and that's not a bad thing. I wish the staff would tighten up who they accept commitments from so we can avoid these situations in the future but that doesn't appear likely.
Can you give us a summary of what the commits are saying on Twitter?
sorry I’m working on the summary right now just got to hear back from a few mothers and uncles I tweeted at
He’s probably trolling. Seeing as his account is one day old
"recent twitter activity of some of the other commits"
Ummm what? I've seen nothing that would indicate any other decommits. Gotta think Branham was processed because Gattis thinks he can pull better WRs
Gotta think he was processed. He’s been passionate about Michigan for a while and was on campus on today
If he was on campus the day he decommited that would certainly indicate this was more Michigan's move than his. Is Gattis going hard for his own guys?
One would think so. I have no inside knowledge. Just drawing conclusions based on the fact that he was high on Michigan and he was on campus today
If anyone fits the #speedinspace rhetoric that’s been driven down our throats, it’s Kalil Branham.
Kalil is by no means slow, but his speed isn't elite either. Obviously he is still young, so it isn't unreasonable for him to get faster, but he wasn't beating Denard in a race any time soon.
I think asking anyone to beat Denard in a race is completely unreasonable. Branham has speed for days. Isn’t he a track star of sorts in the state of Ohio? Good enough me.
What I’m more worried about is him going to another B1G team and getting utilized successfully - a la Rondale Moore at Purdue.
I'm basing this on his track times. They are good, not amazing. Again, he isn't slow, just not elite speed.

You can do a lot with good speed, great routes and amazing hands.
Robert craft is good with just the amazing hands part
Well, that’s a bit unfair. The list of high school recruits that can beat Denard in a race is very short.
I didn't see this one coming at all. I thought he was gung ho too play for Michigan, I'd be interested to know what happened. Did Gattis push him out the door?
Think Gattis is not as high on him and has other WRs higher on the board. I'm guessing this is just a part of that.
It seems a reasonable assumption. If so Gattis needs to prove he can recruit high level WRs.
