Jon Jansen predicts M wins 17-14

Submitted by Firstbase on

Heard Jon Jansen on the radio yesterday. He thinks the Utah game will be low scoring with defenses being dominant. His final prediction when time expires tonight:

Michigan:  17

Utah:  14

Could be. Michigan offense is a complete unknown, and Utah is replacing both coordinators, so they're somewhat of an unknown as well.

Should be interesting. Let's hope for the good guys to pull this one out.

I could see that - a lot of lines aren't going much higher than 24 points for any one team. Right now, a predicted score of 24-21 (most proedictions still being in favor of Utah) are pretty common, but I could believe a low-scoring defensive affair as well.

That being said, any prediction which is of the general format -

Opponent: x

Michigan x+y, where y is a positive integer

- generally will get my attention initially.

Crazy.  I just texted my buddy we'll win 17-14 as well.  Both teams are a little sloppy but our D helps game manager Rudock just enough to get by.  I'm banking on us not losing the turn over battle in this game and not giving up monster plays on D.  If either happens, it'll be a loss.

I've watched last years match up several times now. We were in that game but it just turned on 2 plays - long screen play, then Gardner interception where funchess was open but barely put a hand to the ball. Physically we can stick with them, just need to be disciplined

Tonight. Every major announcer to writer. Chantel Jennings picked us to loose 28-13 as well. I hope we come fired up and whoop some ass. It will wonders for recruiting this year and next. Especially w the big name 5* players.
