John Calipari may have some 'splainin to do.

As Brian has said before: Basketball recruiting is dirty like dirt in a dirt sandwich.

Check out this story, in which someone -- posing as Calipari -- sent a completely FAKE Facebook message to highly touted Kentucky recruit Marquis Teague.

Dirrrty.

????

According to the link, it is completely fake. Well, Calipari is an impersonator, but the response from Teague is, from what I can tell, genuine.

Obviously, nothing will come from this, the NCAA has more important things to do, like making sure football players aren't stretching too long, or they're not getting punished for not attending class.

But that's bullshit.........making a big deal out of this is essentially the same thing as what Rosenberg did with Stokes, Hawthorne etc.....they went fishing for a comment from Teague, and his reply can be twisted in any which way.

Bullshit, judge Calipari on what's real, not some fake facebook post. Having said that, I judge him to be a scumbag in my eyes!

I can't say posting this on a the board of a blog is making a big deal of it, but I find this interesting.

Obviously the facebook account is fake, Five Fakes out of Five, but it really seems that the Teague response is both non-fake and genuine. With this being a joke, yet revealing a potentially serious answer, it kind of lends credence to everyone's suspicions. While I realize that nothing can be done from a joke like this, it certainly could/should open people's eyes to what may be going on behind the scenes.
