Joe Milton senior highlight video
A lot of what we've seen before: Suspect mechanics but OMG arm strength.
The other thing that stood out to me was his accuracy, both on improvised plays and designed throws. Yes it's a highlight video, but that's an awful lot of DO or CA passes.
EDIT: A link would help:

Then you're a putz. All of you are putzes. They should change the sign outside from My-T-Sharp to ze Three Putzes.

My god that arm strength is impressive.. He can get it to receivers 30 yards downfield in the blink of an eye. I'm not sure there's been a recruit in the last 5 years that I want to see hit their ceiling more than Milton.

Definintely would've been nice to see Morris hit his ceiling... But safe to say Milton has a better chance from the start working with Harbaugh rather than Borges.

else that stood out on that film is how good his receivers are. Any of those kids Seniors and being recruited??

hope he's got a change up to go with that fast ball. I feel like that was Shane's pitfall to becoming a high level QB, he was still slinging bullets on 5 yard slants to the slot receiver and no one could handle it. That's something Peters almost does too well when he's checking it down. Thing just seems like it's not even going to get there sometimes.

Marlin Washington. Isn't rated on 247.
November 14th, 2017 at 8:44 PM ^
According to his HUDL page, he's 6'1", 175, runs a 4.5 40 (Ok - maybe 3 out of 5 fakes but he sure looks fast on tape) looks really quick and has a 40 inch vertical with great moves to boot. Runs solid routes. I'm no recruiting expert but he looks like a 3-star on his film. He looks at least as good as number 12 in the video (Shane Hooks who is a 247 3-Star headed to Ohio).
November 15th, 2017 at 10:56 AM ^
3 out of 5? Correction, 100% of 40 times on HUDL are not accurate.

That was my second thought, besides the arm strength. Kid seems really shifty

That's the type of player we need. All the great QB's in the world won't mean spit until the receiving corps rounds into shape. Our current receivers seldom seem to be able to gain separation from the DB's they face. Not sure if that is a function of skill or inexperience. But filling those positions with viable targets for the QB's should be a priority. IMHO.

Gonna be a while, he's pretty raw, plus we have 2 studs already on campus.

I realize Kaepernick was, but as far as college goes. Could be very beneficial to force defenses to prepare for both

Not as big, but I see ALOT of Ryan Mallett in him...more mobility though

McCaffrey's runs in high school and Milton's. You will see that Milton is faster, shiftier, and has much more power. People get the illusion McCaffrey is a better runner because his HS team used his legs more and he was playing against slower opponents than Milton did so his rushing stats look better on paper.

#3 jukes 4 guys at the same time......DO WANT!
November 14th, 2017 at 3:05 PM ^
Looks like his name is Marlon Washington, doesn't have a 247 page. The other receiver does however, guy by the name of Shane Hooks. He is a 3* committed to Ohio.

Yes that Ohio. Go Bobcats!

My gawd that second highlight he throws the ball 60 yards off his back foot.
November 14th, 2017 at 2:44 PM ^
Looks like the ceiling is a rich man's Trace McSorely. About the same mobility but bigger arm and not much fear in throwing a guy open. Just gotta get that wind up tightened up...
November 14th, 2017 at 2:46 PM ^
He's about half a foot taller, though.

You can't coach that. But, accuracy is more important. Let's hope he brings that, or at least the coaches can bring it out after he gets here.

That is crazy arm strength. Stronger than Sugar Shane when he came out of high school. I recall seeing Shane Morris throw it like 50+ yards off his knees.

I remember how the scouts raved about his.
November 14th, 2017 at 2:48 PM ^
I wouldn't be so sure about the accuracy. His completion rate is still below fifty percent this season.
