Jim Harbaugh loves Michigan (video)

Awesome video. From a 2004 ceremony recognizing 125 years of Michigan football.

It's not the word I use but it doesn't seem really outdated or anything (Illinois) to me.

This doesn't really have anything to do with Harbaugh but TSS made this post a while back that linked to some really cool maps about regional diction and names for things throughout the US. The y'all map is the most accurate north/south map I think I've ever seen.

Even in that old clip, you can see that he has coaching in his blood and is a great speaker and motivator.

Note the cavernous gap in level of articulateness between Hoke and Harbaugh. "Well, uhhh...." And don't forget about Hoke's dumb blank stare every time he takes the stage.

since DB was probably watching somewhere.

That said, I like Jim Harbough's competitiveness - this alone probably will change the team a lot (for better).

Look at some other teams played yesterday, and look at this team, you really have to think hard:

WHAT ON EARTH DID HOKE AND CO. TEACH THESE KIDS? THEY LOOK LIKE AND ACT LIKE SHEEP - SO NICE AND IN NO WAY ARE TRYING TO FIGHT!

Seems like a insignificant detail, but this is incredibly important to me. I was deeply bothered listening to Hoke's introductory press conference as U-M coach (the first time I'd heard him speak) that he couldn't communicate in clear, complete sentences. I want the Michigan coach to be articulate. This is Michigan for God's sake (not "for God sakes").

It makes you wonder how different Michigan football would have been if Bo was in good health after Loyd retired. Could he have convinced all the factions in the athletic department to give an unproven Jim a chance.
