Irony regarding one of Mork’s Complaints
This is from the Detroit News Niyo article:
... the Sun Devils’ Cam Phillips illegally hurdled over the Michigan State line on Coghlin’s second attempt, a 47-yarder that missed badly wide left and ended the game.
“That should be a penalty,” Dantonio grumbled later. “And it’s not reviewable.”
I wonder if he feels the long snapper getting bowled over should be reviewable as well.

It was spectacular

Sparty’s loss was real and it was spectacular.
September 15th, 2019 at 8:16 AM ^
This loss was brought to you today by the number 12.
September 15th, 2019 at 12:44 PM ^
That's a real number!
September 15th, 2019 at 5:16 PM ^
Ya, but go easy guys...
Mork's still trying to find 12 on the ol' abacus...
September 15th, 2019 at 9:17 AM ^
... and real.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:34 AM ^
I get the irony, but it should’ve been a 15 yard penalty and was plain as day. I don’t blame him for being a little miffed.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:52 AM ^
He was on the benefitting end of a bad call against ASU earlier in the drive, so I'm not feeling any sympathy for him.
As as one of the B1G Network commentators said in the Final Drive, MSU had opportunities all game long to not even be in that position, and simply didn't take them. They had 400 plus yards against ASU with practically nothing to show for it. Empty yardage is probably one of the most embarrassing stats to have. We had it with Rich Rod, and it looks impressive until you realize that the yardage never translated into points. Looks like Sparty is feeling that empty yardage feeling as well.
September 15th, 2019 at 9:44 AM ^
Thought about Stafford n empty yards.
September 15th, 2019 at 10:22 AM ^
The Pass Interference was total bull shit. MSU never should have been in position to provide us with this glorious gift of 12.
On the 12th day of Christmas. Twelve Sparties spartaning.

back at you M4H. big football weekend for the 4 oldest boys, all recording victories and big plays, and one of the avatar twins got a buck on the youth hunt with me - we are eating venison tonight.

My goodness 3-9
September 15th, 2019 at 11:23 AM ^
Totally agree. The refs were garbage overall I thought.
September 15th, 2019 at 10:36 AM ^
Score more than 7 pts and/or don’t put 12 on the field, how hard is that!?
September 15th, 2019 at 11:29 AM ^
This deserved a 15 yard penalty:

What a stupid controversy. Sparty gained over 400 yards of offense and scored...count 'em...7 points. THAT'S why they lost.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:41 AM ^
Mark Digiorno got a gift of a PI flag to even be in field goal position. It's fun watching their football program implode.
September 15th, 2019 at 8:15 AM ^
The lead story on ESPN college football today (summarizing the results of yesterday's games) even points out that the PI call was bad and state benefited from the poor officiating.
September 15th, 2019 at 10:00 AM ^
That's all part of the ESPN witch hunt against sparty!
September 15th, 2019 at 10:07 AM ^
Yeah, ours ain't exactly on the "up-swing"...
Though I'm always glad to see West Coast teams kick the shit out of the east, UM will be lucky to get 8-4 this year. So lets state the obvious...Harbaugh is a joke for what the University pays him. Year 5 and it looks like year 1. MSU may be worse off but UM is a 2nd Tier program and we've settled in mediocrity.
September 15th, 2019 at 10:32 AM ^
Shut
the
FUCK
UP!
Why are you obsessed with how much Harbaugh makes? If Michigan has a coach who was “under market value” but with similar results you’d no doubt be here complaining that we’ll never be good without paying a coach the market value. People like you make me wish the Internet was never created.
September 15th, 2019 at 12:01 PM ^
I think that about the internet, too. But then I think of porn.
September 15th, 2019 at 12:22 PM ^
People like you make me wish the Internet was never created.
Your shtick is getting old.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:47 AM ^
Bad calls happen, they're part of the game.
And again, if he wants to start opening that can of worms, let's talk about the Phantom PI call Sparty was gifted on their last drive. That was as bogus a PI call as I've ever seen.
Dantonio needs to either get over it or retire.
September 15th, 2019 at 8:12 AM ^
RCMB schadenfreud:
Fire everyone. Piss off.
The program died today and will take at least 5 years to build.
Recruits and their families sat through that abortion and promptly left and said no thanks.
There is no hope here. He needs to retire now
September 15th, 2019 at 8:33 AM ^
I got news for them: If your "progam died today" it's going to take a lot longer than 5 years to recover...
September 15th, 2019 at 8:51 AM ^
If I was in charge at Pitt, Narduzzi would be available before their next game.
September 15th, 2019 at 9:51 AM ^
If I was a Pitt fan, I'd want Narduzzi's head on a platter. That series from 1st and goal at the 1 was ridiculous. I understand the pass on 1st down trying to catch PSU by surprise, even though it didn't work. The next run got stuffed by the good play by the DB. Then another pass fails - so they kick it?
Why? What good does 3 points do you when you're down by 7? You're 1 yard away from the tying TD. Do you really think you're going to have a better opportunity to score than this in the brief time remaining?
Just plain dumb.
September 15th, 2019 at 10:08 AM ^
Narduzzi gave the stupidest explanation possible.
"You need two scores to win the football game, unless you guys are playing for overtime," Narduzzi said. "We're trying to win the football game."
If he hates overtime that much, no reason he couldn't go for two after a TD. It was quite the battle yesterday between Dantonio and his former assistant. Seeing who could make the dumber decisions, one going for OT, the other avoiding it.
September 15th, 2019 at 12:14 PM ^
I think Dumbtonio wins.
September 15th, 2019 at 11:15 AM ^
Sneak it 4 times and you're in.
September 15th, 2019 at 11:26 AM ^
The program died today and will take at least 5 years to build.
”...will take at least 50 years to build...”
Fixed that for them.
September 15th, 2019 at 12:02 PM ^
This is Dantonio’s last year, all his assistants have 1 yr contracts and a ton of seniors leave after this year...pride comes before the fall
September 15th, 2019 at 7:47 AM ^
Oh no that sucks.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:49 AM ^
WOAH that’s some sour grapes right there Mork.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:49 AM ^
I'm sure he felt bad when Michigan's fumble recovery TD against Army was ruled down (not reviewable). Them's the breaks Mork.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:51 AM ^
Thought the same thing watching it live. How do you miss that call?
If it happens to UM, we’re losing our minds.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:53 AM ^
How do you call pass interference when there wasn’t any?
Officiating was atrocious.
September 15th, 2019 at 8:05 AM ^
Not just that there wasn’t PI, but the DB didn’t even lay a finger on the WR. Count your blessings that you benefited from an even worse call mere seconds earlier and that’s the only reason you were able to be in a position to attempt a FG, so shut your fucking mouth
September 15th, 2019 at 8:11 AM ^
It has happened to UM and we did lose our minds.
September 15th, 2019 at 8:12 AM ^
It did happen to UM. Only on a punt...
September 15th, 2019 at 7:55 AM ^
Hi little Brother. This was already posted. Time to let it go.
Mork is scum. Ok.
September 15th, 2019 at 7:56 AM ^
Thought the exact same thing. Sparty didn’t seem to care then. They shouldn’t care now. Commence wheels falling off for Sparty nation in 3....2....1....
September 15th, 2019 at 8:06 AM ^
All of MSU - coaches, players fans - have become exactly what they claim to hate about Michigan.
September 15th, 2019 at 9:49 AM ^
That has been true for years now.
September 15th, 2019 at 10:50 AM ^
Low class yokel losers? I can’t say I’ve ever heard a Sparty bitch about that.
